You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to 88CRX again.

Just like the CTR, it's getting wide (and probably well-earned praise). Also just like the CTR, it's fwd and will be utter crap to drive for 7 months/yr in our climate.
Pretty much. If you take delivery of one of these in the middle of summer you are probably stunned by how good a FWD performance car can be. If you take delivery during any time of the year when the temps are <10C you are probably feeling a lot of envy every time you pull up at an intersection next to an AWD sport compact where they are putting down their power with ease. I really enjoyed my Focus ST when it was warm but the rest of the year it was all about managing wheelspin and that starts to grind on you.

Objectively I think SH-AWD would make this car worse, but I think it would also open it to potentially a larger market.
They aren't going to make enough of these to fulfil it's small niche let alone a large market so going AWD won't accomplish much outside of making an expensive compact even more expensive to manufacture and sell.

Jesus Christ, at least some people on here understand what I'm trying to say.

You can't have fun driving a truly fast car in the city.

Starting from intersections in the winter time is the most annoying in 2WD cars. CRVs and Siennas will walk away from 2WD cars (even if they have LSD).

    Just revisiting this thread...

Do we have any members here that have bought a Type-S, or planning to, or have driven one yet?

I saw one in the wild a few weeks ago. Looked better in person than in pics as the fender flares really pop in person. I know these cars drive great but it would be hard to drop $59k on one being FWD.

    Preach.

They do look unreal, I've seen a couple out and about.
