You think anything matters during a federal election?

I like how cbc runs the headling "trudeau says " I am a proud quebecer" as their debate coverage. Or how the media grills o'toole on being "deceptive" with language on assault firearms when it was the liberals with their order in council that literally invented a new terminology for firearms. I really hope the turd gets turfed during this election.

I don't usually post the 338 projections because they are fuckky on my phone, but here's the current one. Different than the CBC poll tracker. I haven't looked into why.

If things ended exactly like the "most likely" outcome of that projection shows, then the CPC has no chance of making a coalition with the BQ to hold a majority. That'd leave NDP holding balance of power.

Lot of time for things to move, hope the CPC can keep ticking upwards, even 5 more seats would be a pretty big difference, and if they came from the NDP that's fine by me.

Trudeau would be gone as the lib leader if they lose. Then lib-cpc coalition.

If there were a shred of morality within the Liberal party he'd have been gone already. Fuck them all. And most of the CPC too. And all the NDP. And Green. haha God our country is pathetic.

Right now they're in power, so he's doing his job.

If they lose Trudeau scandals will come out like you won't believe.

    That's one shitty graph.

    138 > 139?
    26 = 33?

It includes the error bars. The NDP and Liberals have a much wider range and a more likely chance to land higher in their bars. CPC tends to get more votes but the prairies are so heavily right it means the rest of their ridings are tighter races. Last election CPC won the popular vote and lost the election.

not ironically, 5 seats is what Alberta should be getting in the riding reallocation before the next election.

Don't forget that the LPC still is the government and remain in power regardless of the vote count.
In the case of a minority result Trudeau will recall parliament and ask for a vote of confidence of the PMs regardless of the CPC winning more seats than LPC.
So that is when the NDP holds the balance of power-by supporting the LPC.

338 is pretty bad in terms of data display, I agree. No idea if the data analysis is decent. I haven't done enough digging to be sure.

Interesting seeing how much support PPC is getting lately. Liberals must be happy with that

Buncha right-wing nutjobs. It'll be pretty ironic if the PPC vote is why the Liberals take control instead of the CPC.

    From their platform page:
Given the uncertainties over the scientific basis of global warming, and the certainties about the huge costs of measures designed to fight it, there is no compelling reason to jeopardize our prosperity with more government interventions.

    A People’s Party government will:
Withdraw from the Paris Accord and abandon unrealistic greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
Stop sending billions of dollars to developing countries to help them reduce their emissions.
Abolish the Liberal government’s carbon tax and leave it to provincial governments to adopt programs to reduce emissions if they want to.
Abolish subsidies for green technology and let private players develop profitable and efficient alternatives.
