I thought he came across pretty well in the English debate. Better than JT anyway.

I wonder if all this anti-vaxx protest / 4th wave / right-wing attacks against Truderp have more to do with it?

Could be the outright lies in the liberal direct mail being sent. So o'toole is going to make "assault weapons legal again" . Ok there turdo. Shouldn't you be using the term "assault-style" firearms since you are the one that literally made that term up? Smh.

I’d wager that a significant majority of Canadians does not care about this as much as you and other gun enthusiasts do. In fact it probably helps liberals all things considered.

I'd wager the majority of Canadian don't want to pay 7+ Billion to purchase all those firearms back so anyone even remotely concerned about Federal spending/budgets should care.

Such is the nature of “sacred cow” political stances.

“First they came for the X’s, and I did not speak out because I wasn’t an X” etc etc

It’s cheap political points to go after a minority interest for this reason. And it’s a tool of Tyrants.

i would agree but the support dropped after that... it could be the flip flop on the gun issue, no mandatory vax, climate policy that on the surface seems bad but the only one that is realistically achievable. the only way trudeau is showing progress is cause the country was shut down half the year.

At least Canada is not the USA, where they build quality state of the art guns - only to take them away from citizens and give them to the Taliban for free.

Technically, the USA gave them enough aircraft to fly into another set of twin towers several times over.

The question that probably hurt O'Toole the most was the first one, where the moderator asked if O'Toole was actually leading the party or if his caucus' differing views would influence his government if formed.

This posed a problem for 2 reasons: a) it was in the first 5 minutes before people got bored/angry and shut off their TV; and b) it was "gotcha" journalism where it didn't really matter what he responded as the question itself formed the voter's opinion.

The Conservative Party really needs to expel all of the climate deniers, anti-vaxxers, pro-lifers, etc. if they ever hope to gain a majority in Canada again.

Meh. Liberals don’t think about monetary policy so it’s irrelevant.

I think we need Heir Justin to rekindle his feminist roots and implement a #WhiteMaleTax.
