    Best comment I read...

$600 million could have bought a lot of clean water treatment on reserves... even with SNC doing the installs.

rofl Bloq gets 200k less votes than NDP yet still has same number of seats. This country is a joke.
If that upsets you, just wait for the final vote % vs seat count.

Although with SNC doing the work, it would be a singular install with the rest of the money taking care of their Liberal overlords.

My prediction for the next 2 years is there will be a slow drip of information about how millions (billions?) of CERB/CWEB were fraudulently taken and how some funds even ended up with scammers in India and Nigeria.

NDP/Cons will not be willing to vote no confidence given these election results and Trudeau, who appears to be wearing some form of black-tinted Teflon, will spend another 2+ years doling out funds to friends and family.

Results basically exactly as both 338 and CBC poll tracker predicted. No surprises, ho-hum, yawn etc.

Where are all those “landslide Liberal Majority” predictions that aged super well?

Glad to see the bloc did well. My favourite Canadian party.

I wonder if the Cons, the NDP, and the Bloc will piss on Trudeau’s throne speech and make Blanchet PM in a coalition?

    That would be hilarious.

I was definitely wrong. I'd say I'm glad because a Liberal majority would be awful, but it's not like this is much better and it shouldn't have taken us $600MM to get here.

I can be right about things, though. I predict today's high temp will be between 18°C and 30°C.

Finding the narrative being pushed about the "conservative split" interesting right now. Does it really matter if the conservatives have 118 or 125 seats when neither is enough to control government?

Also find it interesting that from a certain perspective, it can be ascertained that the Liberals would gain seats if they went even further left. I see nothing stopping them from doing so, which leads me to question why? The people voting Liberal either do not care about money, or their "progressive" causes outweigh any form of fiscal conservatism they can muster (hence why there is no such thing as a fiscally conservative, socially progressive individual).

As long as their ideas are sufficiently left leaning, the NDP will support them. So why not just go for a majority and go full commie? I guess currently the NDP gives the Liberals cover for their shittier ideas, maybe that works for them.

That's wasn't possible by week 2. Polling proved quite accurate this round.

Still not sure how the Cons lost it in the last week.

NDP working with Cons would be a pipedream.

That would be a solid move. The "UCP" have really benefited since throwing Klein out. LoL! Who the fuck do they think is going to replace him?

Given his relation ain't great with O'Toole or Trudeau, you think UCP will pick someone that will play ball better?

My guess there are significant business interest with progressive value that align better with the Liberals. Voting NDP would be shooting yourself in the foot and can't vote Con due to the values the fringe carries.

Since this went provincial in direction, I went to anchor it back to the federal level.

Can we get a new federal CPC leader? Michelle Rempel Garner has to make it happen.

We need a female party leader that’s easy on the eyes. It’s mostly a beauty contest anyway.
