Also, anyone who puts any form of bean paste into a desert should be sent to a reeducation camp.

wait til you try it with century eggs
Congee without century egg is just gruel. Tasty gruel, sure, but gruel.

Funny we talk about century eggs in the mooncake thread.

I just had a century egg pastry yesterday which has century egg and lotus paste in a flakey pastry dough, soooo good. I like it more than wife cakes.

Explain "wife cakes" to Whitey... Use pictures of your avatar girl, if necessary.

Ive been with my wife (CBC) for 13 years. And I also can't stand mooncake, its just dense, not super flavorful, the texture isnt great. I also dont really care for congee unless I am the one who is making it. The other thing I don't get is the sticky rice. There's two - one you eat with hot sauce and one you eat with sugar, they look identical to me but my wife can tell the difference. Oh and anything with tripe or jellyfish in it - dont understand why anyone finds that tasty.

I love every single thing you mentioned in there.

Had this for the first time last week with some co-workers in over a year. Tripe and chicken feet....

As for mooncakes, I'm almost a CBC (came here when I was 3) and I don't hate or love them, but I can deal with them once a year.
