A bit of advice, having gone through an unexpected estate issue with my late uncle some 6 years ago you are going to end up tossing a lot of the stuff or selling it at fire sale prices. Now granted, my uncle's situation was a hoarding one but there was still a lot of stuff that we believed should have had value but at the end of the day we resolved ourselves to the fact that the time it was going to take to possibly sell what we thought was the saleable stuff wasn't worth the effort.

The used oil, off to the fire station hazardous waste drop off with that - we only kept unopened full jugs and not even all of that in the end. The problem will be is that while you see some value in the stuff, most potential purchasers are going to want to get it for pennies on the dollar compared to what you might think it is worth and really, do you want that hassle.

So in the end, we ended up trashing a lot of stuff, selling some on Kijiji at fire sale prices and family keeping the more collectable and heirloom pieces. If you're going to post here, then pictures, pictures, pictures - no one gives a damn about a bunch of text because their eyes will start to glaze over after the first few lines. Hell, I may very well be in here with another similar thread pending the outcome of another sort of relative's current health situation - again a hoarder of unknown amounts and because none of us have ever been to their place in High River, my wife and I don't want to do this again and would probably just let the courts or town seize everything after we get out anything of value to us.
