Default On the lookout for a stolen boat: Grey with red stripe Supra 22SSV!

Our boat was stolen in Invermere BC last night around 3:15am. Boat is grey with a red stripe, Supra decal and white swim platform. ( Fairly unique as it was custom ordered and the decal is from a newer model)

Believed to be spotted around 11am on Deerfoot south behind a dark pickup truck.

    Any help is appreciated!

What? Damn thieves…That totally sucks….. there has to be some traffic cameras to pull some CSI type work from….that boat would definitely stand out from the rest given its color scheme. Travel cover on it or no?

Black snap on tarp with Supra logo..

So far we have video from the Centex gas station, but all you could see was a dark pickup speeding away at 3:17. Went towards Fairmount, so going to try a station down there as well.

    BOAT WAS FOUND!
Got a tip via social media that it was parked at the Deerfoot Casino... went and there was some shady dude from BC claiming he was told to take it back for a reward.. either way, got it back with very minor damage and all is well!
Cops are going to look into the guy who was there, he claimed he just found it as he was staying there, but the story didnt add up.

Crazy luck that it came back to Calgary. Wouldn’t be my first choice if location to hide a hot boat…

    Congrats.

that's great news that it was found. Hope his story falls apart and he owns a dark colored truck that was seen towing it.
it shouldn't come to this , but these clamps tend to make thieves look for easier targets.....

The trailer did have some higher end padlock on it, but they cut it. The whole story is getting messy as other people have come forward with additonal info about the guy. Fun times!

What's the process after you find the boat, just go and take it back and inform the police later, or do you need "permission" to take it back?

I've got a masterlock thing on mine, seems fairly robust but i guess if they want it bad enough....either way, glad this turned around for you and you got the boat back. F@@king thieves....

If you're talking about the thing that covers the hitch, those aren't really a deterrent. A good whack with a hammer and they bust off. I know more than one person that's had a trailer stolen even though that lock was on it.

There's very few truly high security methods for trailers. Most can be defeated with a small sledgehammer and a cordless angle grinder within 30 seconds.

remove the swing tongue completely when unhooked and parked...every time lol.

if they want it bad enough, they'll get it is the unfortunate part. Cameras, locked compound, tongue lock, wheel boots, big dog.....

    It worked for me... kinda.

I had our trailer parked at the reno house for months and months. We get the concrete tested for strength and the next day I notice my Shovel is out in the alley. Didn't think anything of it. The next day, I see my hitch lock is snapped and scratches on the hitch paint. someone trying to bust off the lock:

I go and buy one of the above wheel locks and put it on at 6:30pm.

At 8pm, the fuckers come back and defeat the hitch lock with a grinder, deflate the tire with the wheel lock because they couldn't drill it out:

Drive down the alley with what I suspect was a 2" ball and the trailer falls off the hitch. Witnesses say they just left the trailer. Now I am left with this... lol

But I also got the trailer back.

Police were called as the guy was till present... but of course couldnt do anything since his truck wasnt hooked up. They let us take it with their business card, since it would still come up as stolen and the license plate was ditched somewhere
