    Default Contractor health benefits

I can only assume there are some people on here that don't have company benefits being a contractor. Now that I've been contracting for almost a year and It seems like this is going to be more permanent than I thought.

So you contractors paying for external benefits, where do you recommend I look?

Both marry a third person with benefits and profit? I won’t judge.

Don't know if it's good or cheap, but easy to get a quote from Alberta Blue Cross and use that as your starting point.

Then take your wife out to some bars near a hospital and see if you can meet a cute nurse....

Pizza preferences are more polarizing than politics.

I use Green Shield for health and dental benefits.

I recently learned about Chambers. Https://Chamberplan.ca

You should also set up a HCSA. This allows you to pay for medical expenses using before-tax money. I use https://accountablevaluefs.com. He sometimes has same day turnaround, never later than the next day.

The majority of contractors I know run Blue Cross then set up their company as a PHSP https://www.brockhealth.ca/

Brock Health is the same thing as Accountable Value except BH takes weeks to give your money.

I sell both benefits and health spending accounts. Shoot me a PM if you want to discuss further options.
