Any production cars require 93 with stock factory tune?

LoL, so I guess that will be something super fair like - what, $2/L??!
Currently only 3c more than 91. Stole this pic from revscene courtesy of AzNightmare. I do like that they killed silver. Such a useless grade lol

Not sure, but apparently an $18k 350z with critical mod's like silicone hoses and a "Cutback Exhaust" suddenly needs 94.

He doesn't say it needs 94, it just runs on 94. It also runs on 91, or 104, lol.

You can read between the lines better than that. Guaranteed that the owner has bolted new breathing apparatuses onto the car, not tuned anything and decided via butt-dyno that "needs 94 meow".

    Likely true.
Co-Op has a refinery in Regina that can easily supply all of their stations with their fuel. Shell Scotford is just outside of Edmonton.

Paging @Misterman if he has any insight. I believe he used to work in Scotford South Op's and their new Blend Building might be contributing to this if he knows anyone who still works there.
I never worked in sales or marketing. So I have almost no insight as to where the fuel goes once I blended it. We just shipped it to the marketing terminal, and it goes to outside customers from there.

It seems somewhat ambiguous, but my local Millrise Shell station doesn't have any form of decaling lately around the 91 V-Power Pump to indicate "ethanol free" "10% ethanol" etc. I still use it

Why is everyone so concerned with sourcing out ethanol free gas? I actually go out of my way to add in extra ethanol into my car sometimes. I dropped 0.5s and trapped 4.5mph higher with a bit more ethanol.

Because we're boring car people with stock tunes. Ethanol just gives worse fuel economy and no benefits.

I don’t care when I am driving the car but when it is going to sit in an insulated but not climate controlled garage for 5 months, I don’t want ethanol in the tank.

Has Shell indicated when we will get 93? Both Shell stations I frequent now have the "may contain up to 10% Ethanol" stickers on the pumps.

Millrise has had the 10% sticker on all their pumps for a few months now. All of the gas stations in the south do - Okotoks was the last holdout, but the sticker appeared there a few weeks ago, boooo.

I periodically use my ethanol tester and they're still showing 0% ethanol. But that sticker bothers me :/

this - i don't want to have to have to drain gas tanks when it separates. Plus when it eats my fuel lines. Plus when it fucks with my carberateurs.

Shell has had those stickers for years as they've had up to 10% ethanol in 87 octane for over a decade. It's the removal of the ethanol free 91 octane sticker that you need to watch for.

Most of us are well aware of that. Pretty well all the pumps now have the single sticker that say "may contain up to 10% ethanol".

"Most" is a stretch when you start reading any thread about gasoline or lubricants.
Many of these posts translate directly to Ralph Wiggum saying "I can do a somersault!"
