Just moved into our new home yesterday, looking to have 7/12 windows replaced (5 are already newer). Recommendations for local companies to look at? 1976 build home, not looking for anything top dollar.

One of the companies on the list should be Western Windows. But always reccomend more than 1 quote for work of this type.

PlyGem is a reasonable quality window at what I believe is a low~ish price.
We just had the basement windows replaced by them, and are happy with the work. Originally had 5 or 6 quotes for the entire house, and they seemed like the best of the affordable quotes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Was a slight issue with internal communication between people, but in the end they made it all work to my benefit.

An old classmate owns MAXGreen Windows/Siding and Roofing and their reviews are all good. I personally don't know his work so can't comment

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
+1 for max green. I used them for a project at my rental. High quality window and install. They weren’t the cheapest but weren’t the most expensive either. High quality install is very important if you want them to last. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
West side windows and doors
I was also looking for the same thing but I want triple glazed or whatever the best quality for upstairs windows directly facing the sun is.
What's the going rate for windows?
Used to be a thousand per. Prob 2x now.

My two more expensive ones in the basement are 48"x30" Tilt and Turn style, triple pane, and were $1400 each. This included everything except painting the interior trim.

I'm starting to slightly regret buying an older home...
No comment besides sign up for the greener homes grant shit and get your eval first. It covers a chunk towards windows.
Recently got estimates for a bedroom window and a bonus room window. It is being replaced by insurance for a hail damage claim I’m hoping they go with the Ecoline estimate since they can get the materials and install sooner but I doubt it.
This was from a small outfit called Radiant:
This is from Ecoline:

Only if you actually get the inspection done. Still waiting for mine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Did you call the company and set up an appointment? I got mine through amerispec, and apparently registering online through the Canadian site doesn't actually push your info to them. I got an appointment by calling and leaving a message to book inThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I left a message months ago, never heard anything back. Useless to me now anyways, since the windows were installed last week.

Started measuring stuff myself, figured I am going to screw up and better let a professional come do this.
Thanks for the info, I filled out the online form for the Canadian website and got no calls from the inspection company. Called them and booked an appointment for November. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Had ours done by Ecoline in July, they were better priced with less wait time than Western Windows (booked measurements and ordered in April). Great to deal with and very nice product, I love the locking mechanism, seals the window up on all 3 sides (crank out windows).
