Protests have erupted at the world's biggest iPhone factory in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou, according to footage circulated widely online.

Videos show hundreds of workers marching, with some confronted by people in hazmat suits and riot police.

Those livestreaming the protests said workers were beaten by police. Videos also showed clashes.

Manufacturer Foxconn said it would work with staff and local government to prevent further violence.

In its statement, the firm said some workers had doubts about pay but that the firm would fulfil pay based on contracts.

So we should have been banning iPhone all along instead of Xinjiang cotton on forced labor?

    Meanwhile in Guongzhou.

CCP should kick them out of the country. Maybe send them all to Australia to work the coal mines. that'll teach em.

For context, the ones protesting are migrant workers and they are about to be punted back to Hubei.

That's why when Xi is prepared for war, it's going to be a Civil one.

Yup, all them Chinese citizens looking at the ultrapacked soccer stadium, and seeing the people squishing themselves to death in Korea... You can only keep the populace in the dark for so long before 1+1 does not equal covid fear.

Is flipping police cars more effective than honking? I'm for it, either way.

When your ride is a bicycle it sure is. Because ringing that stupid bell just means you are a fan of the British rock band Queen.

In dictatorships/autocracies, it's terribly difficult to get a movement going that would threaten the power of the regime. The moment they get unrest, they stamp it out before it can formally form into a group large enough to be a serious problem.

I would suspect all the unrest in China, Iran, Russia will ultimately be for nothing. I imagine it will take decades or centuries before these governments loosen up their hold on the public for it to be possible.

If I was a betting man I'd put my money on full democracy in Iran before China or Russia.

All these movement won't move the needle but as long as they keep turning kids into organ donors, the faster the demographic collapse comes.

People chanting let him go as Police go to town on that BBC journalist.

I am still surprised they didn't start cracking skulls immediately on everyone.

    Americans traveling.

There's a reason China saved 5 million lives, while America chose to sacrifice 1.2 million.
