    Communist/Socialist "long game" is funny.
People talk about China being able to play the long game as if it is a strength when in fact it is a weakness.

I'm not convinced any government, especially that one, could clearly articulate what long game they are even playing.

With the Michaels/Meng case resolved, expect Trudeau formalize Huawei 5G ban and Huawei pulling out of Canada. I would be surprised if it's the opposite of this.

End of the day, if nobody is using Huawei 5G, their patents are pointless/useless.

And to that Ottawa ad panel, Huawei spend quite a bit of $ on R&D out in Ontario. A lot of Huawei 5G patents are contribution from Canadians.

This is why all Bell/Telus 4G network gear are all Huawei. And that news release was a low key threat about economic impact of a Huawei ban.

5G is useless. 6G is already on a satellite from China, 100x faster than 5G. USA still on 4G, could be the mistake of mistakes of all time.

China saving face is a small setback compared to paying $1.7 Trillion to make a 200 decibel "stealth fighter". Burning fuel to make things go the speed of sound makes noise, whodathunkit.

4G is two color pong compared to 6G full immersion VR.

One thing China has going for it is water. Too much rainfall really. Tsangpo dam 100 coal power plant equivalent.

The USA just dumped 150 million gallons of untreated sewage into Mexico through the Rio Grande last month. They blame broken sewage line, but everyone knows its because they don't want to spend the energy to get it treated to minimum US standard - because they don't have to as long as it goes to Mexico.

USA treats its citizens half decently as long as you have money, but everyone else like shit. China treats everyone equally shitty.

There is a good chance that the USA might attempt to *not* use 6G. Too risky if China owns half the patents. Time to go back to finger tapping on the morse code machine. If you admit that "China has just as many quality patents" then pretty soon you have to have half a NHL team being Chinese.

Apples cellular tech is plain sad. They have to charge customers the entire price of a Chinese made tablet just to add cellular capability from a third party. Its an increasingly weak point for APPL, that and the lightning connector.

    Just waking up the sheeple.

World is finally getting around to what I've been saying for years long before covid. N95 mask factory and 14nm (or smaller) chip factory.

450 mm silicon ingot factory can wait until China has finished off Tsangpo dam, if successful.

450 mm, even with sub-par quality would create some ginormous solar panels.

Seems to be going ok. Its just like the credit system here, its not like you have any control over what they decide to score you at.

seems to be on a scale of around 1,000 which allows for some granularity just like FICO.

People seem to like it because much greater scrutiny is placed upon people who might go on a bow and arrow rampage.

1.4 Billion people scored on social credit is a start, no doubt be expanded upon as time goes forward.

So the USA is having a "Diplomatic Boycott" of the China Olympics. But still sending full team of athletes and broadcasters.
Seems like it will be a very small move that will annoy Beijing, but accomplish nothing.

And tennis star Peng is dead and replacement body double is undergoing plastic surgery for public appearances any day now.

What a piece of shit country. Right @Buster ?

It’s awesome how much little embarrassments seem to piss off the Chinese.

I think it should be a new priority for the CIA. Embarrass the Chinese. Would make great reality TV.

Shouldn’t be hard, they’re a POS country. Must be endless skeletons in that closet.

But the machinery of Capitalism is lubricated by the blood of its workers while Socialism is a utopia of equality and common good.

We are talking about a country banning Winnie the Pooh here. A cute cuddly bear that their dear leader happens to resemble.
