Huge signing to say the least, Treliving is a boss.

Reading all the "oh boy they fucked at the end of his contract, he so old" comments this morning are brain numbing. Get a cup in the next 5 years while he's still in his prime and I don't give a fuck if he's old and slow towards the end, deal with that way down the road.

Big W for the Flames signing an extension for an elite player long term.

If 8 years was safe for gudreau, it's fine for huberdeau. I don't understand that particular critique.

I read the last 2 years of the deal becomes a limited trade clause to a few teams. So maybe we can trade when he's 36 to MTL, after he's won 4 or 5 cups here.

Some people are stupid, dont understand how the salary cap works and mostly just like to complain about everything.

Its a stellar signing for the Flames. Next up Weger signs mid-long term and we're good to go.

I was impressed by Weger's numbers as I think he was paired in the top line for Florida and just coming into top form. Getting a top forward + a top defenseman and a #1 pick. and now locking JH up for 8 year is too good to be true. Hack, I would probably pull the trigger on this trade with or with out Tkachuk's contract debacle.

JH got Bennett to almost 30 goals. Let’s see what magic he has for our under performers

From a disaster of an off-season to righting the ship pretty quickly is nothing short of a miracle. Credit where credit is due to Treliving for salvaging this season and for the future.

Wonder what the terms are...kept reading that no team wanted to pay what Kadri wanted lol maybe we got a good deal.

Looks like this is the end of the road for Monnny or Lucic or maybe both...

I have no idea if that's a good deal or a good thing. Someone tell me what to think.

Good for the next 3-4 seasons. We're in win now mode.

Sounds like Monahan or Lucic will be moved to make space for Kardi's contract.

Didn't see this coming, all the Kadri rumors were him to the Islanders, Treliving is cray

It means the Flames are all in for next couple years.

So if you're a fan and want them to win the cup in this lifetime its a good thing. Who cares what these contracts look like 5+ years. Win now.

The Gaudreau haters must be pretty proud right now.

On paper Tre has replaced Gudreau and Chucky's points. While retaining/upgrading D with Weegee (Replacing Gudbranson) and spending less than paying Chucky. Plus the 2025 first round pick.

I'm not sure how I feel about Kadri. This could be hall of fame GM summer moves.

If he turned this all around from shambles to contender in a matter of weeks, he's a monster.
If he planned this all along from last year, he's a monster.

I’ll take 1 cup in exchange for a 10 year rebuild. Lfg!
