This seems like a heartfelt message. Yes, his inaction made it difficult for the team, but it isn't like they were blindsided by the POSSIBILITY he might move on, or they couldn't have pushed to have a confirmation either way earlier. That's always the risk dealing with UFAs, and I view the detriment this had on the team as much Treliving's fault as Johnny's.

I get it. He's a human with a life and a family, and that supersedes money or an allegiance to a team. He was torn between the the two, which makes the procrastination at least somewhat understandable. This all still sucks royally for the Flames and it's sad to see them fall so fast from being considered a possible contender and winning the Pacific just a year ago.

Blue only have 3 players worth trading, Panthers have no first round pick next year, the others have some good players but who's gunna let go of someone for the sign and trade.
