If Tkachuk does then you go full rebuild and trade Markstrom, suck for a few years and let Wolf develop further and hope he is our next Kipper while gaining more resources by trading Markstrom.

How much does Marky regret coming to the flames these days while the Coilers are gearing up for another deep(ish) run
Nylander and Kerfoot for Chucky.
Picks either way to make it work.
Tkachuck and Marner lit it up in the playoffs as junior teammates.
This seems like a heartfelt message. Yes, his inaction made it difficult for the team, but it isn't like they were blindsided by the POSSIBILITY he might move on, or they couldn't have pushed to have a confirmation either way earlier. That's always the risk dealing with UFAs, and I view the detriment this had on the team as much Treliving's fault as Johnny's.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I get it. He's a human with a life and a family, and that supersedes money or an allegiance to a team. He was torn between the the two, which makes the procrastination at least somewhat understandable. This all still sucks royally for the Flames and it's sad to see them fall so fast from being considered a possible contender and winning the Pacific just a year ago.
People actually took the time to read the dancing monkey's letter?
ouch

ktkuchtkchak gone now too.
At least he told them he doesn't want to re-sign. He knows what he's doing.

Not surprised. It is at least handled a lot better than the Gaudreau situation. Again, if only both would've made their intentions know before the draft, it would have been a lot easier to swallow.

That will be a good trade for Leafs however Leafs are not on his prefered destination. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars are the prefered destination and based on the reports it is most likely Blues
I thought Columbus is now a preferred destination for superstars? No? but WHY???This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Blue only have 3 players worth trading, Panthers have no first round pick next year, the others have some good players but who's gunna let go of someone for the sign and trade.
Outside of the Blues, Chucky obviously wants to play somewhere warm and easy on taxes, doubt he'd be coming back even if Johnny re-signed.
I bet Brad is skidded within a week of the chucky trade.
Has anyone checked in on the guys over at CalgaryPucks? Is the mass suicide planned yet?
