They outplayed both Edmonton and Anaheim in their first 2 games... and they actually were somewhat entertaining considering the type of hockey the Flames usually play. Or maybe it just seemed exciting because the season has just started, I dunno.
    I thought so too

My only complaint is too many easy shots, not enough creativity. PP looked solid tho. Almost felt like they’re racking up shots for the sake of shots.

    But it’s 2 games.

Constant shooting works I guess. They’re bound to go in. 3 way tie for scoring lead. 2 of them flames. What a weird ass timeline.

Actually, to send him down to AHL Gawdin needs to go through wavier. And if he's claimed, he'd need to stay on roster so the chances of him being claimed this early is very very small. Hence he didnt...

I'm pleased. Watched the last two games, they've really turned around their play. Sutter has them playing better.

I'm stuck: If I watch a full game they lose, if I only tune in periodically then thats when the other team scores. Its obvious that I have the ability single handedly change the outcome of their game but that means I don't get to watch any Flames hockey if I want them to succeed...

On a more serious note I am getting really sick of hearing "Flames are the front runners for Eichel" only to be followed the next day by "Oh sorry, its actually Vegas/LA/New York". Add in the constant "There has been some major progress these last few days and we expect a trade within the week" and you have a recipe for not wanting anything to do with him and Buffalo.

Sam Bennett is a good young C option. He's a Sutter type guy too.

Turns out the Flames just needed fresh American air to actually play well.

We made a huge mistake trading him for sure.

    This hurts so damn much.

I've been yelling at clouds for years with how Bennett was treated here.
He will be better than Tkachuk long term and we gave him away.

I am genuinely happy for Sam though.

Sam's play this year would not have ben the same here. He needed a new team as much as he needed a different role. Don't be bitter.
