He’s looking to be closer to family. It wasn’t about money. Fact that his wife didn’t move here and came to visit only for a week was writing on the wall. She’s a Philly native and she’s staying there.

One has to wonder if Johnny fucked us by telling us now, or if he already told the team he’s not staying and the team spent a month trying to convince him. In any case, walking for nothing sucks. At this point I don’t want Tkachuk to stay. I’ve been critical of his play quite a bit this year and feel he’s elevated by his teammates. With Johnny gone he’s gonna regress hard.
