Default Gas prices going up today - Oct 6

    Howdy folks

I was listening to QR770 and they said gas prices are going up today 5-8 cents per litre and they said this is for western Canada.

How long before Trudeau complains about "greedy energy companies"? Because that's coming this winter.

Unless a person drives for a living (and cost of fuel is their burden, not an employers), why does this matter? Genuinely curious. Is it just a matter of principle? It's not like it's going up to $15/L.

Pretty sure at this point ill be biking more than driving. Gas prices are probably only going to go up from here. Mind you it is the long weekend and all but with the way inflation is going...

I saw 1.199 and 1.439 on the same corner in Edmonton around 4pm yesterday. Filled all three vehicles when I got home, cheapest I could find diesel by then was 1.349 sadly.

But it does make your $16 bowl of Pho to go $17 sooner.

WFH I use 1/2 the gas I used to so gas is cheap. But as someone who live on Pho tho.......

What does everyone get for mileage expenses these days? Do businesses or consultants ever raise them? Seems like they've been at $0.55/km forever.

CRA has a prescribed rate. Check that. It's over $0.55.
