    Default Thanksgiving 2021

Maybe we can post our meal plans or whatever in here and then get some pics of the fancy spreads once the big day comes.
I have always been an "eat the fancy dinner on the Sunday" person and quite frankly, you're dead to me, if you're not.
Weak thread for now - but hopefully it'll get some legs.
    *Kill me.

May I start with a partially related query? I'd like to just get 3 or 4 fresh turkey breasts for this year's dinner and try a variety like smoking one, rotisserie one and oven another. Or, something along those lines.
Since I'm famous for arriving at Safeway on Sunday morning to find that they're obviously sold out of: thyme, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce and white bread... I would like to be slightly more organized, this year.

TL;dr - where can I buy fresh turkey breasts?

Well RCSS has them, so everybody else should too. I don't think it's a seasonal item btw.

I'll check the others, but RCSS meat can blow me. I'm not risking Thanksgiving Dinner with their random fowl.

I like your idea to do them 3 different ways. Smoked, roasted, and fried would be an awesome variety

Debating what to do for a small dinner this year. Did a larger one with most of the family last weekend and then this weekend will just be 3-4 of us. On the fence of just doing a chicken instead of a turkey to make life easier.

I'm in the same boat; just 2 of us. Doing a whole turkey seems like overkill.

How long do these air chilled turkeys last for in the fridge before you can cook them?

I think you forgot the moistmaker - that gravy soaked slice of bread in the middle.

Is there anything related to food that sabad66 isn't a thorough authority on? No!
I got directly off my pussy and sprinted to the nearest Costco with a mask and a machete to cut through the crowds. Came home with a couple of these and I think they will fit the bill.

If I get my jimmies rustled, I might pick up a third bird, but so far, I think I'll smoke one hilariously slowly on the Weber Smokey Mountain and then the other will either go on the Alexis or into the oven... TBD.

+Rep to sabad for being the best that we've all become accustomed to.
