Not to be a dick, but it's a bit disingenuous to lambaste people for not reading the report while saying things that were debunked in that very report. Ample amounts of heinous shit aside, the letter of recommendation never happened.

I dunno, govern yourselves accordingly, but sure sounds like a reference letter (which has been widely reported in the media). So I don’t believe it’s just me thinking that.

I guess it’s legally a ‘positive post employment job evaluation’.

Not sure the point of that document besides using it to gain new employment.

Yeah, didn't clarify that the recommendation people kept talking about was an evaluation [that wasn't sent] so that's on me. More that it was one of the reasons Quenneville was in hot water, because he not only didn't want anything done at the time of the allegations, but also didn't seem to care or notice.

In addition to Aldrich's uncle being at the high school, I can't imagine anybody would ask for references from a coach who got to bring the Stanley Cup offering to do volunteer work.

Cheveldayoff looks to be sticking around. Which given the league's reasoning makes sense, and it will be up to him and TNSE to handle the PR battle (which they should be able to do if they follow the advice of guys like Kennedy who seem supportive of it as a means for change). Now it's Don Fehr and the NHLPAs turn to deal with heat on how they let the issue persist and allow Aldrich to work with USA Hockey after they were informed. 32 player rep meeting tomorrow.

I'd like to know what the Sabres' doctor is capable of to convince them to dump a once-in-a-decade asset rather than let him get a perfectly acceptable surgery.

Agree. I should say there's also craziness on Eichel's side in that if he so vehemently believes in this disc replacement surgery, he could've taken the risk and got it, breaching his contract and it's entirely possible that Buffalo would've welcomed him back at the same terms as long as the surgery was a success.
Then they could've traded him for more value.

Contracts dont work that way unless you wanna go play in the KHL. They can suspend him with no pay and still holds his rights.

In other random news, I think TV Man said Dallas has played 8 of their first 11 on the road. That's a brutal way to start the season and their record is not terrible. They might be a lot better than their record indicates. I think they have a big home stand coming up that might bolster their record significantly.
