We need a yearly Oil Bowl for our Alberta NHL teams, screw the Cup unless one team is truly exceptional at some point. I don’t follow NFL so maybe this is complete ass speak.

Just saw the highlights of the game. Karma is a big fat fucking bitch Oiler fans, hahhahaha
Karma for what? I thought this last game was entertaining and isn’t that the point? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!? It’s a game with people ‘playing’.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I watched the game and I was entertained.

is nurse the most overrated D in the league? And I dont think I've ever heard the injury excuse directly from a player after a game. They usually come up on clean up day no? from the GM or coach?
No, he's not over rated, the consensus is that he sucks. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
He's not highly rated. Not sure if that's over, or correctly rated.

I thought that was a good game. The Big Mac is an absolute freight train out there and Cale Makar is unbelievable. I feel bad for McJesus because his goalies always suck so much but then I remember who he plays for... The best part of the game was all the times Mike Smith snapped and had a hissy fit as if him being terrible was someone else's fault.

you've never heard of an injury after the game? who was thr flames player who played with an injury and came back way earlier the he should have? They announced his Injuries immediately after the game. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Pretty sure that was the only Calgary Injury. How sad... fully healthy team and they go down without a fight.
I think he felt he was pushed into the net with a stick. Which, as far as I know, is indeed illegal. Seems everyone else felt otherwise. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It was an entertaining game. I was impressed that the Avs managed to come back, let alone win the game - though I was confident that if the Oil squeaked out of this game they would have lost badly in Colorado the next game.
I'll admit - with recent additions, the Oil have improved noticeably; they finally have at least some secondary scoring. Now they just need to focus on bringing in more lower-tier scoring depth, revamp their entire D, and get a decent or at least consistent goaltender.
Almost there, guys. Almost there.
Tanev tore his labrum and dislocated his shoulder, Zadorov had a few cracked ribs, Lucic had an ac joint sprain, Kylington had a shoulder injury, Mangiapane had a wrist injury, and Tkachuk broke his hand. There is also about half a dozen other players that the media figured were injured but that was all Treliving "could recall" when pressed about it in the post season media availability. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Just like any team they played through injuries. I would suspect you oiler fans will be posting all about how Draisital was "near the brink of death with the most injuries everyone has ever faced as all of his bones were shattered and he was bleeding a gallon of blood a day internally and his ankle was so messed up that it was weaker than freshly set Jello and he still put up 14,000 points" so you're not special either.
Also, do you know what's worse than losing 4-1? Being swept. But the oilers did get to play in the WCF so you can't really take that away from them.
All of that being said, Zach Hyman looks like he has a favourite pair of crocs and keeps his cell phone on a belt clip. He's the kind of guy that pull starts his mower at 7am sharp on a Saturday and always wears jean shorts with white tub socks.

I for one look forward to the documentary about both Draisaitl and Nurse's recoveries as they fight back from the brink of death, only to return stronger and ready to take on Odin himself.
Their biggest improvement was just adding Woodcroft behind the bench. He came in and went from being 5 points out of a playoff spot to making the conference finals. If the Oilers could actually address getting a reliable starter and a decent 1D, they could be a really dangerous team. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But Holland has fucked up their cap situation so that's not gonna happen hahahaha
They have a 1D, $9.25Mx8yr Darnell Nurse lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
To be fair, Draisatl did look like he was playing near the brink of death last night. And still ratcheted up 4 points or something? Gotta give credit where credit is due. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

if oilers can produce on the brink of death whats the excuse for the 100 flames injuries Churchill mentioned? Weird.
Yeah, no kidding. As much as I hate that guy, jesus christ did he gut it out and give it his all. Huge props to him. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Oilers top line > flames top line
Markstrom did his best to replicate Smith

Yea Draisital is elite there is no doubt about it. He was beat to shit and still produced which was amazing. We lost the series because of the two headed monster 97 & 29, Hyman walking our D, and Markstom pulling a Mike Smith. The fact that Tanev is the only D that can somewhat handle McJesus fucked us (argument could be made for Hanifin on a good day)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I thought it was super harsh of the NHL to suspend Kane for the rest of the playoffs. The Oilers really could have used him.
*chuckles*
