Our predictions game is off the charts.
I’ve been buying team shirts yearly for way too long. Same with flames jerseys. I have issues. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Here's how the season ended in centrefold pictorial format.
In the East:
And in the West:
Compare to your first posts to see how hilariously wrong you may have been.
In the West, both Edmonton and St Louis finish their last 10 with 7-2-1 while Minnesota had a blistering 8-1-1 with no playoff teams in a horrible slump.
In the East, Florida goes on an absolute tear at 7-3-0 to completely steal the President's Trophy from Colorado which is almost as good as Carolina at 8-2-0. Washington looks like shit entering the playoffs with 4 straight losses and 4-4-2 but they may have been resting players as they've had a spot locked for awhile.
Anyone think the King's have much of a chance? I haven't been following them, but:

But Smith and Koskinen might go full Smith/Koskinen. One can hope.
If Edmonton sucks so much, wouldn't folks rather they made it to the second round to face the Flames?
*assuming the Flames can make it by a cup finalist from 2020 of course...

I want to believe, but I’m prepared to be disappointed.

As much as we want the Oil to lose this series, I have a feeling they might come out ahead. Smith has been pretty solid down the stretch and we know they can score themselves out a hole.
If the flames can play how they played in the regular season they shouldn’t have issues with Dallas or the winner of Coilers/Kings. But this is the flames we’re talking about. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Any matchup the flames could have drawn or still could draw scares me.

I think the biggest thing for me about the oilers is they are deadly on the power play.. but how many fewer penalties will be called? I hope the nhl doesn't tighten up too much on it
Yeah, I don't think they're a team that should be underestimated. Woodcroft has really turned this team around. They're getting a lot of secondary scoring now and Smith is on a 9-game win streak. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yup. And even tho smith has a shitty playoff W record, he’s always been strong in the playoffs. People just zero in on his playoff L, when the biggest difference was he was on teams with little offense skills. That certainly isn’t a problem now, they’re scoring everywhere even 5v5 down the last stretch. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think the big question mark for the oilers is how woodcroft coaches in a 7 game playoff setting. Smaller question mark if their offense can manage playing starting goalies more (they played quite a few backups thru the final stretch) and potentially less PP time depending on how reffing goes.
Moneypuck does have oilers well down in the middle, and they’ve always been better than average at predictions, so maybe there’s some underlying stats that I’m missing about the oilers.

Smith has shown to be a playoff performer. Playing edmonton would be amazing
The Oilers should do better without a coach that tries to play Nurse for like 47 min a game or whatever.
When he played for us he was a playoff beast. Doesn't negate the fact that he's a douche though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would love to see a battle of Alberta in the playoffs but I couldn't fathom the feeling we'd (I'd) have of potentially losing to the coilers.

I had to look up what Carolina's silly "B from a torn flag¿?" logo is. Still lame.
I guess the oilers king series is going to get penalties called for everything haha.
