It’s Canada, USA and Mexico right now with three more games to play I think

Fuck ya! Big win today. Getting close to clinching!
I think 1 more win puts us in the top 4. Likely need 2 wins to clinch our spot. But the next 3 games against low teams I am feeling pretty good!

4 points clinches qualification without any help.

But because Mexico-USA-Panama all have to play each other, Canada can qualify without getting any points if things fall the right way. At the very least if Costa Rica drop points in two of their remaining games Canada would clinch at least the playoff spot.

On a serous note...Great to see Canada top of the table.

There are some benefits to Canada handing out passports like expired candy.

But yea, he moved to Canada when he was 10 and developed his skills here so happy he's representing Canada rather than Nigeria or England.

Hargreaves... Born and raised in Calgary, still has a house in Springbank? (I think). Arguably one of the best mid fielders of his time. Decided he wanted to play for England and not Canada. I actually played a game against him and even then we had heard that he was being scouted.

On a positive note, I actually didn't think Canada would beat the US. We might be for real!

Just rebutting Tony's comment, about where the Adekugbe's were born, when Owen was England's best player in '06, during the twilight of the golden gen. (Played with both Hargreaves as a kid, coached by Colin)

And not quite one of the best of his time, but a fantastic man-marking DCM, with the versatility to play on the wing, and even FB (like the 08 semi, vs Barcelona where he helped shut down Iniesta, Eto and even a young Messi. )
His knees were miled out after leaving Bayern. United and England got one run a piece.

So Canada is 4pts up from USA and Mexico, Panama is a point behind them. There are 4 games left. Other than the matches with the lower teams. USA will play Mexico again, Panama has to play all three top teams. Yeah Canada is looking good I say.

practically but not mathematically. Top 3 move on, forth still has another chance. Panama has to win all 3 remaining with one being against USA and one being against Canada. Canada has to lose all 3 remaining for Panama to move ahead of Canada. USA plays Mexico next so someone is not getting a win.
