A yes vote is to keep Daylight Saving Time permanently (so later sunrises in the winter but also later sunsets), a no vote is to keep switching between Standard and Daylight Saving Time. There isn't an option to get rid of it.

Idc but it sure is interesting the stats in spring and how much a one hour change increases car accidents, heart attacks etc. since we are all about the preventable right get rid of it then or what’s the acceptable % for deaths?

The only way MDT benefits me over MST, is that when I drive to BC, I'll get an extra hour before last call.

Other than that, I'd prefer MST because I don't care about an extra hour of sun in the winter. I'm not doing anything outside when it's -20 anyways. I honestly would rather the sun set an hour earlier in the summer.

It's honestly hilarious. It's also stupid AF to be on a separate time zone than the rest of states/provinces in yours or adjacent.

What they should do is have a little sit down with the USA and decide this once and for all across the entire continent. That would be too hard though because some fucking state or province would think they're special and no one would bitch slap them back in place.

Already voted to go to MDT permanently. Other jurisdictions are leaning towards keeping DST year round, hence why the question is worded the way it is, well that and multiple surveys of Albertans saying to keep MDT. I thought the NDP and UCP were aligned on this?

I prefer earlier daylight in the winter hours and later in the summer so I vote to keep it.
