In the middle of winter, even when working 9-5 at the office, it was dark when I left home in the morning, and dark when I left the office in the evening. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Makes no difference, might as well get rid of it.
Yes. I'd vote to keep MST year-round. NOT for DST year-round, or changing twice a year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'm up before 5am for dayshifts. And I'll trade morning light for evening light every damn time. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The reason standard time isn’t an option is because everyone else is going year round daylight time on the west coast. BC will be adopting it once the US does. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Lol someone on CP was talking about the Ban Daylight Savings Movement
I always find the discussions on DST hilarious
Everyone wants to get rid of it, but then people start fighting over whether it should stay on DST or regular time. Too funny.
I don't care which time setting we default to, I just want to stop switching back and forth
MDT/MST, I don't care. I just want to stop changing clocks and losing/gaining that weird hour. I either lose an hour of sleep and feel like shit for a few days, or I wake an hour early and throw the rest of the my week off.

Wasn't the initial proposal rejected because the Flames and Oilers say it will screw up their puckdrop times, and Westjet said it would mess up their flight schedule?

Now that airlines have the ability to dictate when you fly, regardless of what flight you booked, I don't think they care anymore.

If we succeed in banishing clock changing, any idea if we have to wait for spring or do we just skip this in October?
sig deleted by moderator, because they are useless
It will be a while. Maybe not even next October. Every OS has to have an update for it and then people have to apply it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
https://www.elections.ab.ca/senate-a...t-saving-time/What happens following the vote on this question?
The referendum question about daylight saving time is a non-constitutional question asked under the authority of section 5.1 of the Referendum Act. The result of the vote on this question is binding on the provincial government.
Due to the time needed to implement a change, should the majority vote “YES” on this referendum question, that change will not happen before Fall 2022. Albertans will continue to change their clocks in the fall of 2021 and the spring of 2022.
*sigh* fair enough

I'm all for whatever means I can stop changing my goddamn clock. The pets hate it.
Between the two I'd stay on DST just to have that later sunset in the winter.
Also I'm not voting because who tf cares about municipal bullshit.
