Default Are there any collectors of NFT's on Beyond?

Just curious... This seems to be something that is actually quite a huge thing these days and as ma collector of many things, for the life of me I could not understand the attraction. The more and more I am paying attention it actually is starting to make sense a bit. Still a bit weird to be sure, but who am I to judge what makes something collectible or not, and assigning value and collectibility to something not physically tangible really is no different than assigning value to digital currency or heck, even normal fiat currency.

So does anyone here collect NFT's? If so, what kinds of collections? I see all kinds of stuff out there from art to photos to tweets to virtually anything that can be made into an NFT and there is someone who wants to collect them. I am really interested in seeing how mainstream this actually is, and as Beyond is usually quite technologically forward, I figured asking here was as good a place as any!

    Cheers!

I've been collecting NBA NFTs on NBA Top Shot for almost a year now. It's officially licensed and many are investing in the Top Shot space including former and current players.
I don't own anything super rare, but I have a couple good ones.

If Beyond had NFTs, I would want the govern yourself accordingly post. And maybe the photo of the claw while the investigation was happening.

I don't but I follow it a bit and have some eth since 90% of nft transactions use eth. From all the shit I listen from Gary V it will change the collectibles game. Fkn crazy how much those Apes, Vee friends and whatever else fetches. Bonkers man.

Like most things which are cool, I just "don't get it". I have missed out on many opportunities with this attitude, but I've avoided some disasters as well. I think it evens out.

I think in my very basic understanding is you are buying the unique digital footprint/signature of the item that has been made into an NFT. Still kinda weird but there ya go...

I guess it makes the same sense as someone who want the "original" of something. But with the quality being the same digitally, I am not sure our generation cares. We care about physical originals for the obvious, I cannot say the same for digital.

Sounds like a rich person Buster thing.

Ya. I end up dabbling in all kinds of things, diversify right but I keep it to the 80/20

    80% spy - 20% whatever else

Solana also accepted for nft but I hope eth wins out but who knows

    Its a pyramid scheme.

No different than what is going on in the collectibles market right now.

Really, all that has happened to the collectibles market is they've turned it into what the art market is, just for the poors. Opaque, with no real way to define value except through rent seekers who have everything to gain by driving the price up higher. Same with nfts.

Of course, that doesn't mean there isn't money to be made.

Don't quite understand how that makes it a pyramid scheme but definitely like anything, the first people to realize the market are usually going to have an edge in profitability.
