We're poisoned workers because we worked for O&G.

Only pure workers brought in from other places will work.

Close, but the sickle would be bigger, in the middle and the maple leaf would be the same red color as the flag.

Think of the ferries the NDP will put in.

One end of Sikome to the other, get paid $100K with full govt pension.

We already know what some of another NDP government would look like:

top-income earners to pay a little bit more - Joe Ceci presenting budget 2015. After this pandemic, its abysmal handling of it and costs associated with healthcare (not to mention trying to get healthcare talent back) we know there will be tax increases... on people making more than $100k per year.

Single people earning less than $47,500 a year, or families earning less than $95,000 a year, receive a full rebate to help offset costs of the carbon levy. - ABNDP carbon levy plan in 2015. Many people would lose the carbon tax credit you claim on your tax return.

I think a return to 12% corporate tax rate or even higher is a given.

The biggest question is if $80 oil is enough to save the UCP given the economic boost it gives.

Don't get me wrong, I also dislike the UCP. I guess you could say I dislike them all equally.

brought in a carbon tax to buy "social license."
And actually got a pipeline bought to be built.. how much money has the UCP wasted on fighting the carbon tax (and lost), and then lost on buying pipelines themselves? I am not sure i can reconcile that the AB NDP were worse for oil and gas compared to the UCP. Federal NDP, sure.

Big increase to carbon tax plus big carbon tax rebates for under $100k.

I would love you to explain how Calgary declaring a climate emergency can be reconciled with building another pipeline. That pipeline would also have to terminate in BC since all USA options are off the table for now.

I didnt realize Jyoti was an MLA for the NDP. Also 'declaring a climate emergency' is pure virtue signalling and a waste of breath. And yet, that virtue signalling has been equally successful in a week as the UCPs war room over years in getting things built - zip, zero, nada.

They were slowed down more for the waves crashing on the shores of KaMillionaires' properties than whales.

you know the provincial ndp are apart of the federal ndp right?

The NDP were also pros at throwing money down the toilet. what did the crude by rail contracts end up costing us? 1.5 billion? Also saw the demise of many energy and pipeline projects when oil prices were mostly reasonable. Ministers who actively campaigned against northern gateway

The day after the 2015 election, massive amounts of capital began fleeing the province. During a 2 day period when oil prices increased (May 5 & 6 2015), the TSX Energy index dropped over 4%. Small cap energy producers were hit hard, and over $20 billion was wiped from the Canadian energy markets on day one and two...Over the next 4 years, investment fell year after year. Compared to 2015 when $75 billion was invested in Alberta, 2016, 17 and 18 saw only $60 billion in capital spending. If spending had held from 2015, Alberta would have had an additional $45 billion of capital in this province.

I honestly just don't even care anymore, at the federal or provincial levels. The system is irreparably broken. Not to mention that there is no one party that comes close, as I'm all over the map depending on the issue. It just isn't worth my time and energy to vote.

"Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act." And so not to vote is to vote.
