He was rushing, to the two people already dead in the street. Then of course he sees the AR-15 style weapon before he can get close, and pulls his pea shooter because pure logic says that the guy with brains on the streets just got popped by Rittenhouse - which is true.

Of which Rittenhouse vaporized his arm, because he was too stupid or didn't care to ask his intentions or who he was before pulling the trigger. That real EMT might have saved thousands of lives over a career. Now he has to contemplate a life with one useable arm.

Might as well add: A fake or real AR-15 is very threatening. Standard clip being 30? up to 90? bullets on an oversize magazine. That definitely qualifies as being more deadly than a couple RPG's. Also a strong argument to consider it a terrorist act.

That speed at which Rittenhouse shot the first four bullets is actually quite impressive.

Could have unloaded and taken out a very very large crowd before needing to get another clip (on assumption that it was a real AR-15, or just looks like one)



Personally: If I saw that gun, and did not see the white young face, after hearing two people had been shot in the area? I would definitely assume full on terrorist (or some sort of military incursion). Does anyone else here disagree?

Yes the fact that the prosecution witness' have been actively making the defences case has been brought up to demonstrate how absurd this trial is in the first place.
