    Default Kyle Rittenhouse trial

    This is hilarious to watch.

How did this prosecutor make it through law school.

I've spent 0 says in a trial, and even I can see this guy is a schmuck.

Weird how politically motivated prosecutions end up

    Yup. It's kinda funny.

Did you point a gun at Rittenhouse? Yes

This is what happens when video game addicted children pack assault rifles in the street. Re-spawn isn't in fact possible. Honestly doubt many 17 year old's have the emotional maturity to be walking around in public with an assault rifle during a volatile situation.

The trial has been some of the best legal entertainment ever. The prosecution's own witnesses completely sunk their case before the defense even had a chance to present theirs.

Almost feel sorry for the assistant DA handling the prosecution. His boss (the DA) started it based on political motivation, realized it was a guaranteed loss, and them dumped it on the ADA to take the L. However, the ADA also completely sucks at his job and is spending most of his time pissing off the judge and making the prosecution look like a pack of incompetents.

is the trial as big of a gong show as it seems? Any bits I catch are from pro gun/conservatives view points which are obviously slanted one way.

I've been watching the same feed, it's good stuff. Today's highlight was the jury getting sent out so the judge could tear the prosecutor a new one. Twice.

It's way better than the typical Hollywood script for sure. We need you Tom Cruise, grab your baseball bat.

I was completely out of the loop on this and didn't even know if he's the good guy or the bad guy.. I think this sums it up well enough for me. Great coles notes.

This was covered in the BLM thread. There was video of all the shootings. Very clear from day 1 that it was self defense.

Victim 1 was the only one that didn’t have clear footage of the incident, aside from victim chasing him trying to grab his gun.

Victim 2 was smashing his head with a skateboard and got shot.

Victim 3 had his hands up and he let him go. Then decided to point his gun at him and had his arm blown off.

That said, not surprised the trial itself is hilarious. I don’t see what arguments can be made to make him guilty. Wish I had time to follow it. Will just have to watch the clips tonight.

I think this prosecutor was given a shitty task, and in retaliation he's doing a shitty job.

I mean you're certainly giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I watched that feed for <2min and couldn't stand it, utterly painful. Doesn't help that there's 9 commentators sitting in their mom's basements talking over the proceedings, stating the obvious.

Their commentary is more interesting when there are breaks.

    The result of which is…

Rittenhouse lawyer Corey Chirafasi all but suggested prosecutors might be deliberately trying to cause a mistrial because this one is "going badly" for the prosecution and it wants a do-over. The defense asked for a mistrial with prejudice, meaning that if one is granted, Rittenhouse cannot be retried in the shootings.

When Binger said he had been acting in good faith, the judge replied: "I don't believe that."

So lose in court of law, win in court of public opinion. Bold strategy haha.
