Default City of Calgary and Holiday Street Parking

    This pisses me off.
Feel free to move this to the Official @ExtraSlow Rant sub-forum.

How is the city of calgary allowing you to pay for street parking on holidays?! Seems extra shady and an easy cash grab.
I'm downtown and almost every person is going to pay.
I tell people not to when I see it but I wonder what their revenues are for these holidays?

Wonder why the city is discriminating against you.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

He's wondering why the CPA street parking machines are still accepting payment on a day marked as being free parking. It's a legit question, the machines should be set to not accept payment today.

C'mon, I didn't pay. I don't pay at the best of times let alone evenings or weekends or holidays.
But I see a lot of people donating to city pensions.

Talk to your mayor about it, she is the champion of justice. We need to declare parking payment refund emergency.

Probably need a new pay system. But I'd do an expensive review and mess it up first.

I parked on-street in a parkplus zone, but couldn't be bothered to look up whether it's free today. Started a session by text and when I ended the session it said paid $0. Were the machines actually charging?

Maybe they don’t end up charging but take down usage for stats

Paying by machine is overpaying anyways unless you know the exact time you’re returning. The app just does it right automatically, by the minute, free after 6, holidays, etc.

You can call in to fix that if you forgot.
