Picking up snowboarding this year, looking for insight

Last couple days were great, surprise 30cm day at sunshine which was surprisingly not busy at open. Got plenty of laps on fresh blower, and got out before the crowds tracked everything. Yesterday I hit up my last day at COP with the carve club and @Kijho which started great, but ended up with a panicked skier clipping me on run 1, and waiting around for ski patrol to tend to her (I got away fine). I still got a few runs in, but that is the nature of COP, sometimes it’s fun, sometimes a skier runs into you.

Was great riding with you guys! Got out for some laps on the last couple hours yesterday and it pretty slushy but fun. My legs were cooked just after an hour.

I had set a goal for myself to go 50 times to COP this year (since December) - and felt amazing to accomplish that yesterday. I had only 1 big fall that set me out for about 2 weeks in December otherwise maybe I'd have done more.

Hope to get out to the big mountains before official end of the season.

Nice dude! I did not get to my goal of days this year (only 37 days in so far) as it seems like I chased the snow away everywhere I went except for Revelstoke, and had a similar fun injury to deal with in December. Still looking forward to some spring snowboarding and prep for next season over summer.

Fun sneaky pow day, summer tires + slush made for an interesting ride out. Got to ride with Eric from F’n rad podcast and Court from ilsa crew, great laps over in backdoor. Missed the pros over at holy bowly but might see what tomorrows snowfall is like for another round.
