My understanding is that right now heavy traffic must use highway 3, and that is being prioritized because its running like 1/4 capacity. So that's enough to get some food and fuel moving, but not a whole lot else.

The highway 3 webcams don't show much traffic yet. Suspect that'll pick up in a day or two, but the backlog will remain until there are additional routes open to heavy traffic.

Unless you find a camera that’s specifically over the single lane sections it’s unlikely you will see much traffic.

To my understanding highway 99 is fully open but with weight restrictions as mentioned and the best route to Calgary right now. Highway 3 is important for servicing okanagan though.

Yeah for sure with a car hwy99 is the right choice. Shit it's the right choice to horseshoe bay even when 1 and 5 are open. Great road.

99 is open, but closed to non essential till Dec 1… I’m supposed to be driving to Squamish to get my camper on the 3rd (and require that UPS part to tie it down…).

The route through the states is currently about as slow as 99. And with the change in testing requirements I would probably go that direction to get there, then on the way back take 99 or whatever is available as “essential” (which as an Alberta you can to “get home”).

There are at least options right now if you need to get there or back.
