I decided to “behave” amidst all the lunacy in the car market these days.

M2 is my toy for the foreseeable future.

I don't know how old this thing is? But if it has the N52 with mileage in the 200's, change the DISA valve. Fucker dropped the pin out of the flapper on my old one and put a hole in one of the pistons.

    Beyond winter beater - 2021 BMW X5

    Sounds about right.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

You realize you can drive from Vancouver to Calgary today right?

Just takes an extra couple hours.

Oh I understand. I'm just questioning if the owner will make that drive.

Supposedly he really wants his new car and has indicated he will, otherwise I agree with you 100%.

Should have something resembling confirmation today.

I did it back in March but via Kelowna… there was a few construction zones but nothing crazy, on par with any typical “summer roadworks” delays

I would make sure you check all the road advisories because there is a ton of construction along the entire route, including long term closures.

I think the BC gov has a site with advisories and closures.

I think there's major work on the Hwy by Golden going on but not sure if that is causing delays or they're using a bypass.

No UFA's in BC. Already checked.

Just not sure lol Vancouver to Calgary
Google showing routes along the border and then up through creston, cranbrook OR go through the Seattle, states. Ain’t nobody got time for that. 14 hours.

Or van to Kamloops via highway 99 - 5.5hours and then go #1 to Calgary - 12 hours total
Or van to Kamloops via highway 5, google shows it’s closed but I think it’s just delayed due to twinning the highway between hope and Merritt? Probably still min 10.5-12hours right?
