My father-in-law grew up poor in NB, and laughs that lobster is a luxury food now. He said he had it all the time because it was all they could afford. Kids at school made fun of him eating it, and he begged his parents to buy bologna, but it was too expensive. He still won't eat it.

I've heard this, as well. It used to be "commoner food" like boiled cabbage.

Isn’t Lobster what they fed to prisoners?

    Crab is way better anyway.

This is troof. Whatever the temp, it'll feel about 15c colder than that. Cold as fuck. Bring your warmest gear.
Cold and humid is brutal. Was in Toronto one year in winter, it was 0c and I felt like I was going to freeze to death the entire time.

It’s interesting that this was common in fishing regions, where it’s usually poor areas, and lobsters are for the poorest of poor. Everywhere else it’s baller.

There's a joke to be made about kiwis being upside down, but I swear I'm not going to make it.
