Arrange for a couples home massage.
Take them for a fancy day in the mountains. Walk the storefronts, end up having dinner at a fancy place and either a overnight or drive back.

You must have missed the Chinese part. I can't imagine most of this stuff would be of interest to any elderly Chinese person.

I need some xmas gift recommendations for chinese parents. Something they would actually like, last year I gave my MIL some tea, I recently looked in the cupboard and she did not touch it once. Also about half way through the year I made the whole family these blanket hoody things and she expressed that she wanted one however I found the exact thing at costco and bought her that instead, its still sitting in its package in the basement.

Her interests are going shopping,watching kdramas and youtube.

I know some chinese parents dont celebrate xmas at all however since our family does I feel grinchy not getting her anything from us or from santa.

Yeah I got her an ipad a couple of years ago, or rather took her to costco to get her own ipad and made sure it was all setup for her kdramas. We tried to find an actual chinese mahjong app but I cannot find one that is the actual game where you play against bots

Regarding the massage chair, I told her that I will gladly take her to costco or whereever to buy a massage chair as she really wants one but she doesnt want to buy it she wants the govt to buy it for her, she expects either to be able to claim it back on her taxes or get bluecross to pay for it she even asked the doctor for a prescription for one.

She also expects the govt to pay for her old age care home too.

I'll buy her a one-way plane ticket to Chad, or the Sudan.

Surely the self cleaning cycle takes care of it. We have two hot water dispensers. One upstairs that only takes filtered fridge water (unsure that does anything) and the one in the basement for her just take regular tap water.

I regularly cycle vinegar in my hot water dispenser for the calcium buildup. I guess it could get cleaned

I think this is an asian thing, she would be looked down on by her entire family if she chucked her mom out in the cold, also if you have seen my other MIL threads you may recall she had a mental / serious injury thing.
