Miss most: Tie between the Cobalt SS Supercharged I had when I was 21 (Put age in to make it a bit more acceptable.. or maybe it never was lol), or the 04' GTO I imported from phoenix right after

Miss Least: 2012 Silverado. Tried the truck thing, wasnt for me
No shame in a Cobalt SS, besides the scary crash test rating. I had a friend with a bolt on turbo SS and it was a riot. Stupid quick once it hooked up and it sounded great. Secretly always wanted one, supercharged or turbo with the giant wing. Peak late 2000's nostalgia. Keep it bone stock appearance wise except for tint.

Details on 04 LS1 GTO? Another friend has an 05 GTO and even though it's automatic it's a really fun and quick car with excellent seats and a nice daily. Especially stalled and cammed.

haha. When I hand someone the keys to a car, I rarely think about that car again. I'm not one that is much for nostalgia/sentimentality.
Yep. Too many people waste time in their life pining for things in the past. As with you, when I hand over the keys that car is gone. I have never once even paused to reflect on what I just left behind.

I think the fact that I put so many hours, blood, sweat and tears into my Monte is the reason I miss it so much. That could be the reason people miss alot of their rides really.

No attachment if you never really made it an extension of yourself.

Why would I want to make a car an extension of myself?

It's a hunk of plastic and steel.

It's not the metal and plastic, it's how you got to the point of it being personal. Nothing other than my kid has that effect on me. I'm generally not sentimental.

My biggest regret was selling my MR2.
I did enjoy my MR2. No regrets though.

That’s what I’d say too if I wasn’t a car guy and drove a Ridgeline.

I can’t knock e-bikes, one day I might get fat and lazy and need to rely on a “cheat code” to keep up with my friends, when asked to go exercise with them.

Still looking for a replacement that offers the feel of a s2000 with no luck. Yes - it is in no way a comfortable car but I loved it
Try gt86. Best blend I hear.

Yeah I guess the chip shortage is not helping with options in the short term.

Any maybe you have a point. For the last while, car makers were able to improve performance on affordable vehicles while also improving fuel economy, but it’s like they’ve hit a plateau as some recent ones are actually losing horsepower for emissions related reasons. Maybe the party’s over and we’re on the downslope now. ☹️

8th gen civic SI is a nostalgia. I drove one recently and didn’t like it at all. About 10 years ago, it was pretty cool for daily. I fiesta ST today is that gem.

As for S2K, I don’t know where it fits other than the track and then there are many replacements. A weekend car has to offer “some” car like things and it just doesn’t.
Yeah I think if people went back and drove their Nostalgia cars, there might not be so much nostalgia anymore.

I think the change from NA 200hp cars to turbo 200hp cars doesn’t seem like much but was pretty huge. The usable torque made things so much better. I agree on the ST cars, they were fun to drive, possibly best in their price class.

I miss my old 83 Jetta GLi Coupe and my 1979 Z28. Both were a pain in the ass but I loved each of them for different reasons.

I do not miss my 1989 Chevy Sprint. First car I bought brand new haha!

I had a Turbo Sprint at one point, fun little car actually. A sprint recently sold for $18,200 on BAT lol.

I miss having a manual V6 Jeep TJ that I can just jump in and let it rip with roof and doors off. No AC, no power locks or windows. Pretty awesome.

I will try to prevent missing any more cars by just keeping them ones I have now. Never selling my 4Runner, RS, or Grom. Honda Fit for life as well until death.

Unfortunately I'm too busy and drunk to respond to all of you individually.

So I will just throw a fuck you out there, and you know who you are.

    Also, fuck Phil.

I'm definitely guilty for this. Keep buying POS to fill my childhood cool car list, and most of them are pretty shitty/disappointing.
