1986 was the best and the worst for me.

2 that I miss the most:

    1986 AMC Eagle Wagon

1986 Chevy K10 regular cab, short box, 4x4 lifted about 4".

I loved both of those vehicles, wish I still had them.

This one I loved to hate. I tried to kill it, but I couldn't. I finally just gave up and sent it to the wreckers, I just couldn't kill this fucker.

1986 Hyundai Pony, with probably no options, even had a manual choke...

Unfortunately I'm too busy and drunk to respond to all of you individually.

So I will just throw a fuck you out there, and you know who you are.

    Also, fuck Phil.

The Hyundais from that era were hilariously unrefined. I remember the manual choke from something my buddy drove. Bigger than a pony, what the hell was that thing called?

    Excel?

Hyundai made brutal cars back then. Mind you, domestics were piles of shit too.

Hyundai Stellar, that was it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Stellar

My 1993 Hyundai Excel was leaps and bounds better, even if the transmission did blow up several times.

unrefined is too generous, really lol.

The one I had had ZERO power options and like vinyl seats. Like I said, it had to be the most basic version of the car. I hated that car so much, but, I refused to buy another car until that one died. So I had a rule, if I could get it back on the road for under $50, I would fix it and if not, I would junk it. I was always able to fix it for under $50...

I literally tried to kill the car. I didn't do oil changes on it, I remember the fan belt snapped going up the big hill out of Cochrane and I started to cheer thinking that it was the day i was going to crater it. Drove it like that for like 6 days waiting for it to seize up. never did. Brakes were caliper on rotors in the front.

I finally just admitted defeat and sent it to some charity for scrapping.

    Thanks

I woke up at 4am bloated as all hell. My wife had fallen asleep with one of the kids, which was disappointing because my Dutch oven game was on point. And these are things that just aren't enjoyed the same way alone.

Bro you're gonna have to do more than this to convince us you don't enjoy sniffing your own farts solo.

Not sure if that is a compliment or not lol

I was never much into the import scene. I tried a couple times, but, never could get that excited about them. I like the idea of tuning and such, but, again, the scene I was around more was building domestics like Camaros, off road trucks, etc...

Sold it a long time ago. Forget where it went but a different province.
Saw it for sale again a few years ago. Glad to hear that it's still going.
I did all the mech, brakes and suspension work on it before it got the widebody kit.

I have precisely one nostalgia car that counts as a childhood dream car.

IMO one of the most timeless and beautiful designs ever. Would be the perfect garage queen.
