Wifes RVR this morning after an impact with a moose.

She left early this morning for work. Was driving down 11A towards Sylvan Lake. A moose was standing in the road. It materialized in front of her in her headlights and she hammered the brakes. That moose ran out of the way, but as that was happening, another moose ran up out of the ditch and into her path just a few more meters past where the original moose was. Gave her a little more stopping distance but not enough. She hit that second moose and it got thrown up onto the hood. The ol' RVR took the hit but we made sure there were no leaking fluids and continued onto work.

Going thru the motions with insurance now.

Yah, she called me panicking saying she hit a moose and I thought it was like, a catastrophic, lucky-to-be-alive impact. She didn't tell me how large the moose was tho. I think that she managed to slow down enough so it wasn't worse.
