Good day to clean out the downspouts if they are clogged with spruce needles like mine always are.

Time to rainX
With this much warning do you guys think anything noteworthy to going to actually happen? This area’s highlight reel is always unannounced.
It was ~200+ mm in 2013, plus saturated soil, this year is different. Ghost reservoir is essentially empty as is being held back for floods.. some pathways will close and probably some localized flooding, but city isn’t ringing alarm bells yet
Meteorology is just a spooky pseudo science when it comes to forecasting beyond a day or two. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
2013 had a weird system that went east to west and got stuck over the mountains.
Anytime weather is coming from the east, I assume we are fucked.
What type of mask can I wear to prevent this?
Well, rain in the prairies doesn't present the kind of flood risk that would be dangerous to Calgary. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
2013 was a rain on snow kind of event in the mountains.
Now, there IS an above average snowpack in the mountains so if that area sees heavy rain then it could get serious in a hurry.
My gutters are now clean. Fuck I hate spruce trees, glad I don't have any on my property.

K country is forecasting ~100 mm (130 cm snow in spots haha!). Should be an interesting weekThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If it falls as snow on the mountains that's going to be ideal.

At least we aren't in a heat dome and smoke knocking on our door around this time last year
The carbon tax is working.
So it begins…

WMI has one hail bird up over the city, but don't think the clouds are tall enough yet to make anything worrisome.
I enjoy watching the radar feed.

I feel like it wasn’t nearly hot enough today for bad hail

Property stars stopped by right in time.
Getting a dump of pea size hail near Strathmore right now. Hope it doesn't last.
