The rental RAM 1500 on GY Wrangler SR-As made it from SW Calgary up to Ballsack today without so much as a blinking TCS light...god knows what those fucks on Deerfoot were up to this morning but I had no issues

Did get a little ABS action coming out of my neighbourhood

To be fair, it's a different world when a city that doesn't normally deal with snow, gets snow and below freezing temps that stick around. No joke.

Total amt of snow was 15cm, but the drop in temp as sun went down was what really did it. Pure ice on most routes.

This whole deep freeze, still haven't found a day where I preferred the van with Hakkas. Still launching at full power with no wheelspin.

Noticing a lot of slow drivers that are sliding everywhere. Can't even keep car straight around turns at below speed limit. All season tires must be fucking hockey pucks this week. GTFO of my way please. I got high beamed by slow drivers on stoney yesterday because I dared to drive 120.

The deep freeze isn't where studs help, because the roads are fairly bare. It'll be when it dumps snow at -5, and then the daytime sun melts it just enough to turn it into a skating rink for the mornings.

My all-seasons are doing ok so far in this cold, but I'm also parking in a toasty garage and the iciest part of my commute is 30 seconds from my house so the tires are still warm.

    ESP on, sport or off.

I tried same full send on 36st NE yesterday, nanny still kicks in a bit. Next light with ESP in sport, it connected much better.

Still happy with Toyo @tirebob sold me 2 seasons ago.

How has no one commented on the fact that deerfoot was closed today?

It boggles the mind that someone can get on a freeway going the wrong direction.

Off. I only drive the car with it off. I'll have to give it a shot with it on.

ESP on, no spin, no power cut.

Yeah I was at the same spot 2hrs after this vid. That isn't as slippery as 36th. Was abled to full send here and Nose Hill intersection after.

But I definitely preferred ESP Sport out of the 3 mode in winter.

You guys must've avoided the ice somehow. There were sections near my house I was sliding with the Hakka 10s even and some intersections I'd spin all 4 wheels just slightly aggressively letting the clutch out. Definitely some real ice around

I’m told the reason Hakkas work so well for me is because I have massive tanks and heavy cars make the tires work better.
