I’m confused why they build such a massive dirt berm across memorial when there is better temporary solutions like the tiger berms they used around the river cafe.

Lost a tree yesterday. We planted 10 aspens when we built our house 5 years ago, and commented day before yesterday how great they looked, and must be enjoying all the rain.

Well, found one of them lying on the ground yesterday, with the dirt base completely liquified. There are a couple roots still attached, so I righted it and am keeping it in place with rope, hoping it will repair itself but I'm less than confident. Bummer.

The berm is killing two birds with one stone. Keep the imaginary water at bay, and keep Sunnyside free from filthy polluting motor vehicles all summer.
