Motherfucker, had to shovel a ton of snow this morning, and there's a sprinkle downtown.

Finally got into work, I should've just worked from home. Knee-hip deep snow drift on my street. My family bus got stuck coming out of my driveway. Thought my oversized winter tires and foot on the floor would save me. NOPE. High centered.

Wife is sending me pics of people who think they could make it through, so far its 0/4.

I had to go into Nolan Hill to drop kid off for daycare, avoid. Busses and construction trucks stuck everywhere, plus cars and people walking in the street. Hard to avoid pedestrians when you're trying not to get stuck.

Morning commute is decent. Snow drift wasn't bad that I can get out.

Tons of buses blocking major arteries but no problem getting around them.

Man, the south has nothing for snow, almost. My driveway and street are already melted to nothing just from the sun.

It's almost all north of John Laurie. I was at Market Mall last night and it wasn't that bad there.

144th is nasty, didn't have issues with the parts of Nolan and Sage I drove though with my CX5. My wife probably would have gotten stuck somewhere if she drove her Civic. I had to drive her to work this morning, our alley is on a hill and its still pretty deep in some spots.

I couldn't drive the XF today for obvious reasons, and as is predictable, the Rover is in the shop. So I took my wife's Mazda5, but had to drive her from our home in Chestermere to the airport before going down to my work off 114th sw.

I mention this because there was a *huge* difference in conditions from North to South. Airport trail almost needed a 4x4 to get through off Stoney (luckily she has newer winter tires) and cars were all over the road up there. Drive back down was 30koh on Stoney and slippery for the first 2/3s, then around Pegan just turned to wet. I feel for those living in the North.

    Dirty South FTW.

In the DEEEEP south we woke up to about 1cm but as soon as the sun came up it was all melting. My neighbours were shoveling but within an hour it was gone. Now at lunch there is barely anything left even on the lawns

3 feet of snow in front of my driveway with various cars stuck on the street. Spent the night helping them get out and then I was too tired to shovel my driveay, hired someone this morning. Best 35 bucks i've spent ever.
