Triangle store has rock salt on sale, $4.50 for 10kg. That was good timing. Won't need to shovel these few flakes that are falling either.
If anyone cal tell me what "enviro salt" is, that's be neat. Aside from 5x the price and includes blue dye.

I use the Scott's brand one. It might be called E-Z Melt?
Anyways, I think it works substantially, way the Hell better than any other brands I've seen.
Since it works so well, you can be certain that it warms the planet's carbon, increases the wage gap and gives baby seals AIDS.
CMA (Calcium magnesium acetate) rather than a chloride mix. Calcium chloride is most effective at low temperatures, potassium and magnesium chlorides are less good but can be useful in a mix. Excess chlorides can cause plant and waterway problems, but it would take an awful lot of salt. The classic sodium chloride is what's pretty bad for the environment. Terrible for trees, soil, and rivers and the like. CMAs were originally marketed for not causing rust on cars like the other salts do, but it is also more environmentally friendly than the other salts so they're going with that angle for marketing now, but calcium chloride is much better than the others as well, with not a huge difference from CMA.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I don't find the efficacy of the cheapest rock salt to be lacking. But I drive a domestic pickup, so maybe I am just not meant for the finer things in life.
Don't buy. Absolute garbage. Wife bought it and we threw it out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Here's a novel idea, if you want us to use "environmentally friendly" options make them cheaper than the alternative.

Just updating from the past week.
I know you guys have been posting sketchy shit the last 2 days, and of course news of massive accidents, but I haven’t had any issues even shuttling kids around the north for hockey this week. The only thing the frozen rain affected was lake ice quality. Shit wouldn’t freeze. Maybe just lucky and missing the sketchy spots, but haven’t been studded tire days for me.2022-23 Winter Season Studded Tires Advantage so far: 8
Days Details: Nov 2-3, Nov 7, Dec 20-24
