I've had several nasal and sinus surgeries in my life. Part of the reason I'm on permanent steroids for it.
I'll check into the peroxide. Sounds spicy!

Now that the grader has gone through and pushed all the snow to the sides, its super slushy, so slushy I watched a Ford 4x4 truck get stuck for 10 mins this morning next to my kids bus because he was only in 2wd mode. I dont know why it didnt occur to him to change it into 4 HI mode (maybe its not possible) he spun and spun his wheels for 10 mins trying to get out of the slush.
Sometimes electronic 4wd's yell at you if you try and shift it after youre already stuck.
Probably has a problem with those shitty ford IWE’s.

Am i insane or is there severely more gravel this year on the roads? I dont know if the gravel truck operators in the far SW gave a big ole fuck you to this end of the city but i have never seen this much gravel literally fucking everywhere in communities and main roads.
I was thinking the exact opposite. Up here in Coventry it's like the city crews forgot we exist. every intersection was glare ice for days with ZERO gravel to assist with traction. I swear it was like 4-5 days before any gravel showed up, and even then, it was just the slightest dusting. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

So much gravel imo
They still gravel in super cold, whereas salt is more for warmer temps.
That’s my theory.

That's accurately reflective of the citys published snow and ice control policy. Shouldn't be controversial, I don't think. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Drove in from Canmore at 7:30pm last night. Roads were dry but crazy windy the last 2 days, hit a drift 40ft wide across from the cement plant and made me drift wide on the left hand turn. Nearly had a head on collision with the guy before me that apparently hit the barrier head on and came to a stop in the right lane (facing into traffic). No lights on the car of course in pitch dark with sideways blowing snow. Good times, guy must have been shitting bricks.
Evergreen golf course is open in Lethbridge. Good Alberta January weather down there.
https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/repor...0501ws1575cwwg
Strong winds, snow, blowing snow and a rapid drop in temperature expected for southern Alberta tonight.
Strong northwest winds gusting up to 70 km/h will develop early this evening along the central foothills and will move southward thought the night. Gusty winds will reach Calgary in the evening and Lethbridge by midnight. These winds will taper off from the north overnight.
Near the onset of these winds a brief period of intense snow is expected. Visibility may be suddenly reduced to zero in snow and blowing snow.
A rapid drop in temperature will occur with the northwest winds. Temperature drops of 10 to 15 degrees Celsius are possible in a short period of time. Wet surfaces may freeze causing icy conditions.
Be prepared for poor travel conditions.
