Winter dragging on and on. Rain is never ending. Damp cold. Weather going from +16c and sunny, to dark and cloudy, and then snowing in a matter of minutes (actually felt nice, reminded me of Calgary).

There were definitely some slippery sections in the far north.
Yeah, one of the roads near my house was polished sheet ice. Even with good winters it was a skating rink.

Total Calgary weather here on the coast. A dose of hail today.

Using a leaf blower to remove snow should subtract 2 months of life from its operator for every minute of use after the second minute.
    Shovels exist.
    Was this you?

I read this article yesterday. Cringed at the bullshit level. Gas leaf blower use (especially for snow removal) is TOTALLY a problem that needs to be addressed URGENTLY. Almost sounded like it was copy + pasted from from Vancouver Sun.

Is that proposal a ban on sale or use?

    +1

But I want one that has a metal impeller, the plastic one on mine is very chewed up after very little use. 2-1 Blower mulched is what I need.

I'll stop using my 2-stroke trimmer and leaf blower when the city pays me to replace them with electric ones, otherwise they can kick rocks.

Where's the sustainable lawn care equipment subsidy? Do I need to vote for NDP to get one of those?

Just need to wait for all the landscaping companies to move to plug in electric (cause batteries won’t last a 12hr shift) and power them off a commercial diesel generator, problem solved

    "Plug-in Hybrid" very eco friendly.

I suppose all this snow is my fault for changing out the winter tires on my SUV this weekend.

I'm driving home tonight on dedicated summers.

    So, yeah. I blame you.
