No, although I revisited my want for a ZR2 but it’s just not capable enough as a truck and I can’t afford HD diesel prices and don’t really need one anymore either. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It’s a used X3 M40i.
I was wondering why nobody mentioned a used GTR. Now I know why. Looking like complete d-bag driving one is also is a pretty big drawback. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Have you thought about a 10-15 year old 911? Turbo or 4s. Not much to worry about as far as depreciation at least.
When I got married I gave up all my toys except 1 (see below). I told my wife it was there before her and it'll be there after her, she thinks I'm kidding.

The plan is to get myself a 911 eventually, that’s my dream attainable car. It’s just not the right time now, I have my FRS for track days and that’s affordable to run which is important to me. I am inheriting a couple other cars down the road as well from my dad so I have that to look forward to for minimal cost. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don't see myself being old enough yet to own a 911 Turbo, or dentist enough. At least not until I get more garage space. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It's funny, my wife said she wont fight me over the 240 as long as I don't spend money on it, so I rarely drive it; 1 tank of gas all last summer and same for last 5 years. If I don't drive it, I can't break it. She's pretty smart that wife of mine.
A lot of it comes down to me weighing how much I would really use a 911 and the costs outside of purchase price. For sure I wouldn’t want to track a 911 and it’s not really a daily driver so I probably wouldn’t end up driving it much. Combined with the fact I have a replacement lined up for my FRS in three years and then another car I’m inheriting down the road I couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on something like another sports car now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I drive a company Hyundai Elantra daily, I don’t really need a “daily driver”.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The point is that kind of car is way further to the end of want than need right now, and my fiancé wouldn’t drive a 911 either so how much would I ever use it?
Yeah company car changes the equation. But that's les about the 911 and more about your personal stiatuion.
Anyway, congrats on the trackhawk.

911 is an amazing daily driver for our climate. Obviously during the -30 cold snaps, anything with suspension tuned towards performance is going to be clunky and awful, but for the other 320+ days per year, it's great. I'm definitely going to have one, just not quite ready yet.
