I think it's just contract wrangling between Haas and Mick. Both sides are playing the rumour game a bit (Haas "considering" Gio/Hulk/Ric, Mick "talking" to Alpine) I'd like to see him succeed at Haas though. There was an unconfirmed report yesterday that Haas will be announcing a big title sponsor for the next three seasons, would be nice to see them running a decent budget for once. Maybe if they aren't worried about squeezing pennies out of Gene they can spend some time learning race strategy.

Rich Energy was some half-baked shit but that gold/black wannabe JPS livery was sweet.

    Monster Energy perhaps....

Man I’d love to see a Coca Cola car just to annoy the Ferrari people for using their color

Monster is a Lewis or Merc sponsor, no? I don't know if there is a limitation on sponsoring multiple drivers/teams though, so maybe that's not a problem.

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but 2023 schedule is out:

I'd much rather go to Mexico or Montreal than any of the US races.

I'm looking at maybe Monaco, Barcelona, Montreal, and/or Austria next year. I'd love to go to Spa but hopefully traveling over the summer months.

Let me know if you go. They had record breaking heat last year and the train system was not prepared for the number of people plus they don't serve booze but the grandstands were relatively cheap and the racing was good.

I might even consider driving down if they don't double or even triple the train schedule.

I went in 2013 and took the train and it wasn’t so bad?

It’s a huge event with hundreds of thousands in attendance.

I don’t recall drinking but there was plenty of that to be done in the evenings at better venues.

Since the popularity of DTS none of the tracks seem ready for the crowds. Queues for the trains at Barcelona were 3+ hours this year (including practice & quali) but I heard it was never a problem in the past.

My buddies were at Monza and they said it was a complete disaster. Transport sucked. They had to queue everywhere for everything. The vendors even ran out of the tokens you need for food and beer. They said it was a complete gonger and joke about the PTSD from it whenever they see a queue anywhere now.

Imola was good to me this year but it was raining all weekend so I'm sure that kept a lot of people away for the Friday/Saturday at least and the town near the track had things to do so there was no need to rush to the train after the race.

Ah. If that’s the case I’ll pass. I can’t be bothered with that nonsense.

Still would like to spend June/July in Spain if I can play my cards right.

I'm considering it, have available accommodations in town so if ticket prices aren't insane we may go.

Sorta the same boat. Could crash at a friends condo to avoid the crazy hotel markups. Though there was an article previously that MGM signed a massive deal with F1 to pre-buy a significant bulk amount of tickets to offer as room+ticket options, so I wonder how hard GA tickets will even be to get. Wouldn't put it past Vegas to barely have any for sale to the public as just tickets.

Yup exactly. If GA/bleacher seats are reasonably priced and not wildly inflated by the hotel buys I might go for it.

Having checked out Austin already, I am going to look into Montreal, Miami and Vegas this year. Will try to do at least 2 if I can and if I can only do 1, then I am going to look into going all out and getting a Paddock Pass or something.
