@davidI , great photos. How the was the food there?

What kinda race was this? Follow thy leader?

Great drive by Lord Russell, his experience of getting the most out of a medicore car came through. Shame Hamilton could not do the same in his clown car.
Great drive by Bottas.. His intersship at Mercedes really providing fruits..

FOM world feed continue to fucking suck....half the race is watching LM following Gasly.... I mean it's funny the first 10 times but after like 6 laps it got boring fast...

Enjoying F1 TV switching to Jolyon and Will for casting the race instead of just using the Sky sports feed, I don't miss any of the Lewis/UK ball gargling

I had lasagna at the track for 9€ in Saturday and it was pretty nice. Otherwise, I met a group of other travelers and we ended up sinking a lot of 5/6€ beers. Super friendly staff.

The weather was pretty shitty all weekend but there was still a big crowd yesterday. Lots of Italian swears directed to Danny Ric!

On Friday/Saturday we were able to get into most grandstands without tickets. It was funny watching the Sprint quali in TV after as they kept focusing on how many people were at Rivazza. The grandstands were empty and the only reason Rivazza was full is because everyone could enter without ticket control.

Yesterday was busy but I found a good spot just after Aqua Minerale where I could see a screen and then I went down to the main straight and met a drunk Irish chick who'd managed to procure a bench somehow so I had a great view over the wall in front of the 800€ grandstand for the finish.

The atmosphere was great even if the racing wasn't. I'd come back to Imola for sure.

I'm surprised how unorganized that sounds. All the GP I've been to were strict AF as to where you can go on what ticket you have.

Do we need to send the police to do a wellness check on Shak? Hasn't posted all weekend, hopefully he's just busy sending prayers towards the #blessed one to succeed more

Shak still thinks LH isnt in the same car as GR. even thought it both says Mercedes on them. How dare TOTO gives LH the shittier car. he;s probably on his way to Miami and cry like Dmitry Mazepin demanding Toto to swap cars

Lewis did have a low down force rear wing vs George at Imola.

I think Binotto needs to bring back to round glasses to bring Ferrari back on top. Cheering for Charles this season I guess.

I am more upset about the Dutch douche canoe winning than Hamilton doing shit. And no one is gonna acknowledge the fuckery with Ham's shitty pit stop, getting screwed on pit exit, being stuck in the DRS train, having a diff. wing etc. and GR's luck of having clean air, getting lucky at start with bunch of cars crashing out at front etc. Yea same car so same situation.

It was a boring fucking race though. So sad about Sainz and Leclerc. This season since Hamilton/GR/Merc seem to be out of the picture, I am cheering for Leclerc, hopefully he can pull through.

Finally got to watch the race yesterday. Bit of a snoozer till the last few laps. As a racer you can't blame Leclerc for trying to go for it. But damn, hindsight 20/20, he could've just hung in there and guaranteed that 3rd place. He is so far ahead in points now that is still a great finish towards the WDC. Pretty decent recovery though considering.

Some of the Meme's of Rus vs Ham are hilarious. This year is panning out wonderful. Great fights at the front, great midfield battles, and Russel spanking the fake GOAT now that Merc doesn't have the runaway best car on the field. Only thing more I could ask for is Vettel fighting for podiums.

I think it was completely organized. They overpriced the tickets so a lot of grandstands were only half sold (though I think they eventually filled in for the Sunday once Ferrari looked good) so if the GS are empty, why not open it up to the real fans so things look good on TV?

I would have been pissed if I paid for tix at Rivazza but at the same time, it was way more fun with the crowd.

I didn't take enough pics of the race to be honest. With the rain and beers in hand it was tough! She was cute but was grabbing half beers left on the wall and sinking them by the end of the race so probably a COVID petri dish at this point.

I'll need to DL the photos from my mirrorless. Got some close-ups of the champagne ceremony but there was a lot of movement )both in the crowd and on the podium) and I was trying to shoot through a gap in the fence so I'm not sure if I managed to get the right focus.

Perhaps more sund and less beers in Barcelona in a few weeks and I'll get some better shots.
