Yea, what can the team do, just shit luck with SC.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Feels like he's been screwed by SC every race since the finale last year haha.
Was hoping Perez would retire too. Oh well, can't have it all. High point for McLaren, hope there's more coming.

Ferrari and redbull frontrunners. Someone check on @rage2
Merc still ahead of RB in the WCC though. It’ll be interesting to see how upgrades at Imola shift the WCC race. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Leclerc with a massive WDC lead now though with 34 points over Russel in 2nd. Hard to think anyone can catch him unless he racks up a few dnf’s.
Did Alonso pit a second time near the end? I don’t get how he dropped so much from the midfield battle in the last ten laps

As per Tony, I can't be happier with the results so far this year. Not just that, but F1 has been very interesting as well.
I'm far from celebrating the demise of the MB dominance though, I like what I saw from their team this race, and IMO they're going to continue getting their crap sorted out, and be a major pita this year as per years past. I agree regarding the safety car, things could be much different right now had MB had better luck with the SC so far this year....
As I understood it, yes - from the F1 website:Did Alonso pit a second time near the end? I don’t get how he dropped so much from the midfield battle in the last ten laps
In the end, having needed an extra late stop after ruining his tyres, Alonso came home down in 17th.
I think they should have done the gentleman's agreement and let Lewis try for Perez and swapped back if he failed. Lewis was having a good go at Perez before the safety car.
Russel into 2nd in the WDC!
Oh well, Horner tears are so sweet.
Not the Merc result I wanted to see and sucks to see they still aren't competing for the podium but just got lucky. Hopefully they can get something going soon.
GR or Ham 3 and 4, I am equally happy as far as it's for Merc as a team. Sucks for RBR but shows the compromises they have made with the car to be able to push it a bit harder. Loving Max karma though, hopefully many more to come. lol. Staying positive for Ham and Merc come back asap.
The first 3 races are testing sessions, and damage limitation for Mercedes. Based on that, they’ve accomplished it better than they had hoped for. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Merc not bringing any upgrades meant they had no real chance so getting the points they did is already way better than expectations. I wonder what they'll bring to Imola. The fact that they ran a bunch of sensors through the entire race with 1.5kg extra weight makes me wonder if they're struggling that hard, or they have a couple solutions and are trying to decide which to roll out.
It wouldn't be an F1 race without at least one whiny radio clip from Hamilton. What was it he said... "You guys put me in a really bad position" or something like that.
You should listen to the live radio for any driver and it's always whiny. Max is much worse than Hamilton. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Lewis gave the lead drivers on the in lap. Pretty sure the team told them to hold position, but wasn't aired. No multi-21 situations here.
On that note, Vettel should retire.
Kimi's radios were the best. "F#@k off and let me drive!" or some variation of that. I miss Kimi. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Riccardo seemed to be holding postion as well as Hamilton. Just collecting points for the team right now as they are developing the car.
Pretty sad for Alonso he had great pace but wrecked the yellow tires quickly in the drs train.
Yeah switching his number for "1" is worthy of some Karma for sure. Good on him for winning the WDC, but the number change mega douche. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I like Ricciardo, hopefully he does well this year. He's a bit of a goof but definitely seems to be the most down to earth of the bunch

Team didn't tell them to hold position, and kept updating Ham on GR's laptimes every single lap. Once he was behind GR, team told Ham to lift and coast without context. 2 laps later, they asked Ham to lift and coast more, while continuing to deliver lap time details for the race with GR. Ham replied with the putting him in a difficult position radio message in reference to that. Post race, Ham revealed the reason for lift and coast was for overheating following GR too closely. Team did not radio about that for whatever reason. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not that it was possible to pass anyways, watching the gap between Ham and GR, ham would get close but nowhere close enough for a sniff at a pass. Even with the double DRS zones, you needed at least 1.5s of pace to pass this race. Ham would back off and maintain a 1.5-2s gap for a few laps, then close up to 1 sec, before backing off again. Went like that the whole time behind GR.

If they had possible pace to catch perez they would have let him through, how did ham catch perez at the end of the first stint?? Perez must have worn his tires??
