If you listen to this youll see a few of the drivers were complaining about the grip and a bump at the pit exit. So he could have just been caught out on marbles and a slight bump.

Had my first ever F1 experience this weekend, had the chance to shoot all around the with some pretty crazy access to the drivers, paddock, and pit lanes, unfortunately not great access track-side to shoot though so had to get most of the cars images from the stands. Still pinching myself over the overall experience, so cool! Here are a few frames that myself and my buddy were able to grab, mostly from Qualifying, still working through race day frames.

Wow those are some great shots. I am jealous for sure. Thx for the shares
Agreed. Great pics!! What camera / lenses were you using? How'd you manage to get those close-up driver shots!?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Gasly really needs a moustache.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

+1 on amazing shots! Any more of mclaren ones, particularly Lando’s car?
Would love to get a full res or even raw version so I can make a print! (I’ll pay too haha).

+2 Awesome pics.
Thanks for sharing.
Scariest start for a while. Happy Zhou is okay but a real shame as he's been driving great the last couple of weekends.
Latifi still looking surprisingly good but race distance won't be easy for him.
Thanks man, shot most of these on a Sony A1 or a7iv using a 50mm for the most part. I was there with one of the teams so had pretty unreal access, only place I wasn't allowed to shoot was inside the garage. Inside the paddock the drivers are all over the place, was actually a little mind blowing how little security there was once you get inside. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I do man, let me take a look and grab a few options for you!
What was the logic behind giving Sainz pole on the restart? I missed it but seemed like Max had the lead right from the line?
The red flag was called before all cars passed the safety car line. Therefore there was no complete grid order, and reverted to the last known point, which was the start. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Halo for the win again, when it first came out I wasn’t a fan. But it’s proven multiple time to be a necessary part of the car.
Alonso at spa, grojean in Bahrain, Hamilton at monza
First 3 that come to mind.
Yea, Nissany was almost decapitated in F2 today as well - Halo saved his life for sure. https://talksport.com/sport/motorspo...sh-grand-prix/This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
What was GR thinking? He went to check on the safety of the driver? Does he know how to extract driver safely from the wreckage? Completely dumb move and he cost his team and LH.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
He looked rather responsible for the accident (I mean, I'd chalk it up as a racing incident but when Gasly backed off it looked like GR went pretty hard left into Zhou) and had lost a tire himself. Not sure if his PU had shut off as well. I think it was more the commentators playing up the idea of him being able to continue in the race more than any initial expectation from GR or Mercedes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Often, the drivers also know better than the volunteer marshals as well. I mean, the marshals are briefed/trained but a lot of them still do stupid isht in the heat of the moment. Even if GR just reminded them not to touch Zhou until the medical car arrived it might have helped.
I guess he genuinely cares. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I don't think its always a case of thinking to be fair. We react and instinct takes over. Just as we pull over then someone has a accident on local roadways. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Also drivers know how to remove themselves from a vehicle, they wear protective overalls too. Had the car caught fire, George might have been the closest person in protective clothing. As DavidI mentioned, volunteer marshalls are just that.
I wonder if any part of Zhous helmet hit the gravel as he was upside down..
