Haha Lewis haters aren't gonna acknowledge the barrage of bad luck he's been having ever since last season and the fact that his car was being fitted with variety of diff. setups for testing purposes and keep stating the "blessed" BS. I am excited for Russell's future with Merc. He's got great potential and once the car is back in order then I'd like to see how he fares with Lewis and everyone else and especially when Lewis will stop getting unlucky with various things. There was a glimmer of hope on Friday in FP2 with their cars but not sure what they did to them Saturday onwards. Good joint result still considering the shitty'ness of the car, though the chances of them fighting for either WDC or Constructor are pretty low now.

My only hope is that Max doesn't win in the end and Leclerc takes it but Mr. crytappen appears to be in good form and Leclerc unable to stand-up to him due to Ferrari not being as strong in the top end so it's looking good for the douche canoe. Ferrari hasn't brought any upgrades so far so hopefully they put up a good fight moving forward since it's still too early.

Nothing's going to turn around until Lewis finds a team with another overwhelmingly good car, and a #2 that's okay not causing an upset. Until then, only good drivers like Leclerc/Sainz, Verstappen/Perez, and possible Russel will be up front. I say this as #teamhoneybadger.
As much as I like DR, he's one of the most overrated guys out there right now. Consistently gets outperformed by LN. I like him and want him to do well but I feel he's passed his peak and there's no coming back from where he's at now. His future at McLaren is deff. up in the air if any other better options are out there at the junior levels. And FYI, every time anyone has ever won the WDC, they have had the best car. No one wins the WDC with a shitty car so I really don't get that hate against Lewis. The key is to put everything together even when having the best car to pull off wins consistently like he did for the all the years and not crack under pressure as a lot of people do (see Bottas in Miami, Max with quali. lap last season in the second last race etc.).

DR is gone as soon as his contract is up. If there’s an exit clause it’ll be invoked. Kind of disappointed mclaren indycar is seemingly pushing more for Herta than O’ward. I like O’ward more, he’s paid his dues and his results including last race win speaks for itself. Guess money talks with Herta having Andretti backing.

You reckon DR will get a seat at another team or will he be gone for good? Possibly replace Latifi at Williams, no? They also have some junior drivers that they probably want to bring I'd imagine.

I think dr goes to Indycar for herta or o’ward. There doesn’t seem to be a place for dr in f1. Hopefully Pierre can get a good ride in the future to see his overall potential.

Albon had a pretty solid race, once again destroying latifi.

Ya I am pretty sure Latifi is on his way out at the end of the season for sure.

Vettel and Alonso may also retire.

I don’t think he brings in any money to get a pay driver seat.

This is where I see DR as well, he loves America so it’s a good fit. And if grosjean can do well, DRs gonna be champ lol. Grosjean has overstayed his welcome and drivers starting to hate him, so good timing for DR to take over the spotlight.

Lewis should have just retired when people still thought he was amazing.

Just getting back from Miami. I was in the turn 11 grandstands and man was it ever hot. Really well organized and run overall… no lines to get into the gates, security was very quick and there were 0 lines for the shuttles during any of the 3 days as they had 3 or 4 busses queued up at any given time. Awesome. Must have been great experience. Next year I plan to visit all 3 US races - will see if life allows the time.

Russell is on another level as well, driving the hell out of that (obviously) difficult to drive Merc. He is consistently getting points, challenging, and beating the 7 time world champ in the same car. I was a bit of a skeptic, but hes showing his abilities at controlling a difficult car are so far better than Lewis.
Russell is a safety car whisperer and got lucky in 2 races. Otherwise he wouldn't be ahead of Lewis. Imola they were on different rear wings, but that race really changed the perception.

Otherwise Lewis is driving better than George.

Only one driver can be #Blessed at a time in Mercedes it seems.

What I dont get is why they started as a VSC, when it was clearly going to be a SC due to the damage and debris. It screwed a lot of people to change halfway through.
The crash was 20 feet from where a picker truck was sitting and a opening to the track. It would've been a easy cleanup and no need for a SC but it was all the debris that was the problem. Guessing they thought originally they could clean it due to the location until they realized just how much metal shrapnel there was.

Still surprised the tire came off the wheel, that was unexpected

Does Williams need a pay driver with the new cost cap? My understanding is they're viable in the new era and don't need Latifi anymore and it's just a matter of running out his contract now.

I think latifi is done asap. He might survive the year but that’s it. Sounds like nick devries or Oscar is going to get the seat.

Fantastic drive by Lord Russell.. Just brilliant. He did not get lucky with the saftey car, that my friends is the ghost of Frank Williams guiding him..
Hamiltons jewelry was weighing his car down.. thats why he was slow.

@A2VR6 great photos. How was the food? And what was the total cost?

Rumour is that AM is going to shop up in Barcelona with a completely new car design...

Explains why Seb hasn't named it yet. I feel like a fitting name would be "Vesper" from Casino Royale.

It’s like you’ve never seen a brundle grid walk before. It’s great when he gets drivers to talk, and it’s hilarious watching clueless celebs shun him and how clueless they are. Part of the schtick. It’s great pre race entertainment.
